Her latest post is about what would happen if she died tomorrow, and whether she would have sufficiently devoted her life to Jesus. I wonder if she's actually going to be a proper everything-is-about-jesus fundy or if this is just a stage. Whatever it is she's done, she sounds really unhappy about it, and I'm surprised she hasn't told the world on her blog...

Maybe she engaged in some pre marital kissing? Or....watched some porn? It's probably something even more innocent like looking at a boy with lusty feelings. But it must have been a big temptation if she's doubting her eternal salvation...

She's such a typical teenager (barring the God stuff) in so many ways. I remember taking everything soooo seriously at that age too.

I still think it is something minor that most normal people wouldn't be making a big deal about. Though I really wish when people blog about their great sins, they would just go ahead and tell us what they did that was horrible. Cause I'm nosy like that.

Haha, me too. Like on Caroline's blog (OMG this blog makes my head spin thread) I am curious what was stressing her out so much that she had to move schools. Did she get flak for playing Christian music in class? Or what? Yeah, nosy, I know.

This is definitely about that "temptation" she gave into. I'm not usually nosy, but now I'm seriously wondering what got her so worked up. It's probably something silly, like masturbation, dirty thoughts, or porn (Things most people participate in). This is what I dislike the most about fundie culture, the whole stigma against human sexuality.

She told a white lie to her parents.

She got snippy with someone she does care about, and feels sorry but hasn't told them yet, for whatever reason.

She thought impure thoughts about a boy.

She had a sexy dream.

She went out in public not dressed modestly enough, or a person with a Y chromosome saw her not dressed modestly.

She went out to meet a boy like a harlot, but the good LORD gave her a case of the vapors and saved her from such sin.

She yelled a naughty word when she dropped something on her foot/stubbed her toe/stepped on something sharp.

She kissed a girl and she liked it, the taste of her cherry chapstick...

Why would you feel guilty about a nice fire now and again? I always enjoy Bonfire Night, sometimes a bit too much ;)

Nah, if there was a fire it was In The Loins, IMO. But we will never know until she fesses up.

      Stupid loneliness!
      Kid 1 went back to college (yeah! But sad foe me, she stayed with me all summer. It was nice to start a new phase in our mother/daughter relationship)
      Zero prospects on dates. (Not that I have tried online dating, scared of that but I have reached put to a new group at church, etc.
      I asked a friend to go to dinner the other night so I wasn't eating alone, again. The friend had plans, all my friends always have plans. I see stuff on social media, I'm never invited. I'm single, I'm the 3rd or 5th wheel.
      My one parent friend at kid 2's fall sport won't be there because their daughter made varsity (Yeah for her!!! Seriously happy for her. Sad for me for another sport I basically sit alone, did that majority of spring and summer sporting events.)
      And now I'm crying as my mom told me 2 different funny stores that former teachers remembered about my twin. Both stories were about how they got a crack out of my twin's antics (my parents went to a funeral today and saw former colleagues). Teachers remember me (after all I was a twin and teachers' kid) but none would have memorable stories of me. 
      I feel invisible. 
      Don't worry, this will pass,  it always does. I just need a pity party for a few days. I'm not in anyway going to harm myself. As lonely as I am, I have a very full life I (usually) love. I just needed to vent and cry for a moment.

      Absolutely awful about the fires on Maui. In 2019, I stayed in Lahaina. I liked to sit on the sea wall, which is the only structure left now, and watch the water. People are receiving help, but many had to leave pets. Please donate to the Maui Humane Society, which is leading efforts to find, treat, and reunite pets.
