Anyone else here watch Korean (or other Asian) Dramas?

So, am I the only one? I've been watching Korean dramas for years. I was wondering if any other Fundy snarkers were also obsessed with Asian dramas or if I'm some sort of anomaly.

Also If anyone is unfamiliar with Asian drama but interested in watching one, I'd be happy to sponsor your conversion. :banana-jumprope:

I have seen a few K-dramas...Kkotboda Namja, Tamra the Island, Personal Preference, Dalja's Spring are the ones I liked/remembered.

I'm not alone! Cool.

I've seen Boys Over Flowers and Tamra, too. Haven't seen Personal Taste or Dalja's though. I might get around to watching Dalja's Spring one of these days (I've heard good things.) As far as Lee Min-ho dramas go, I'm sure I'll watch City Hunter eventually (as everyone seems to rave over it.)

Queen Seon Duk is one of my favorite shows of all time.

The closest thing I've watched to a sageuk is Joseon's X-Files (highly recommended, BTW.) Queen Seon-deok seems like its totally epic but, since it's 60+ episodes, I'm not sure when I'll watch. I'm watching 3 dramas as it is, now. I really need to watch a sageuk, though. I'm sort of burnt-out on rom-coms. I'm currently watching a melodrama (something I used to avoid like the plague) called A Thousand Day's Promise, a family drama called Can You Hear My Heart?, and a cable drama called Vampire Prosecuter (I know, lol.)

I've watched a few Indonesian tv dramas -- but they can be hard to find online, unfortunately. I haven't wanted to get into watching Korean dramas...too many to choose from, and I wouldn't know where to start. And I don't want to have a celebrity crush, which I'm sure I would, since I love the way Asian guys look :P

      Stupid loneliness!
      Kid 1 went back to college (yeah! But sad foe me, she stayed with me all summer. It was nice to start a new phase in our mother/daughter relationship)
      Zero prospects on dates. (Not that I have tried online dating, scared of that but I have reached put to a new group at church, etc.
      I asked a friend to go to dinner the other night so I wasn't eating alone, again. The friend had plans, all my friends always have plans. I see stuff on social media, I'm never invited. I'm single, I'm the 3rd or 5th wheel.
      My one parent friend at kid 2's fall sport won't be there because their daughter made varsity (Yeah for her!!! Seriously happy for her. Sad for me for another sport I basically sit alone, did that majority of spring and summer sporting events.)
      And now I'm crying as my mom told me 2 different funny stores that former teachers remembered about my twin. Both stories were about how they got a crack out of my twin's antics (my parents went to a funeral today and saw former colleagues). Teachers remember me (after all I was a twin and teachers' kid) but none would have memorable stories of me. 
      I feel invisible. 
      Don't worry, this will pass,  it always does. I just need a pity party for a few days. I'm not in anyway going to harm myself. As lonely as I am, I have a very full life I (usually) love. I just needed to vent and cry for a moment.

      Absolutely awful about the fires on Maui. In 2019, I stayed in Lahaina. I liked to sit on the sea wall, which is the only structure left now, and watch the water. People are receiving help, but many had to leave pets. Please donate to the Maui Humane Society, which is leading efforts to find, treat, and reunite pets.
