This reminds me of when a librarian told me flat out the reason why I have to confirm my address etc is due to Patriot Act/Homeland Security. I didn't ask. She didn't have to tell me.

And I hate knowing this stuff because it means my absurdly (conservative Bible thumping) crazy aunt is right.
