About this blog

I’ve been a Sims fan for a long time, and I’ve always been a fan of creating big families and trying to control them all. So, what better way to do this than play a fundie family?

This blog contains various fundie families and their stories, from Sims 2, 3 and 4. There are also some non-fundie Sim families included. It also has a few of my short stories, entirely non-Sims related, about a normal family who encounters some of our beloved (ahem) fundies in various situations, including at Wa-La Diner.

Parkers Part Four: Now With Homeschool!

Considering all the NRAAS mods I downloaded, you'd think I'd have thought about a homeschool one... well, now I have! Parkers Part Three: Chloe Grows Up

NEW Family: The Parkers, Part One

Meet Chris and Amanda Parker, who reside in Appaloosa Plains. They live on the same lot as the Taylors did, at 1004 Pomona Promenade. However, I bulldozed the original small house there, and built a much bigger one. The Whittakers Part 3: Cones of Shame

The Whittakers have a pretty big garden, and I've got a few catnip plants (you can't plant catnip in previous iterations of The Sims, only catnip toys). The Whittakers Part 2: Expanding the Household

Last time we saw the Whittakers, it was late on Love Day. They managed all their traditions! This can be what happens when you eat ice cream... brain freeze! Same Game, Different Laptop: The Whittakers

So my laptop went stupid, again. I think the battery needs replacing. My mum kindly lent me her laptop (which she doesn't really use) and I downloaded Origin/Sims 4. Sims 4: Factory Reset

So I got Cats and Dogs, plus My First Pet Stuff. Which screwed up my game big time, it just wouldn’t load. Ugh. So I made a backup, and did the factory reset. Game is now fine. I decided that I wanted to start over completely, like I’d just bought the game and expansions etc, without any of the previous saves. So, my previous games don’t exist in this version, and I’ll be starting afresh with a new family.

Getting Back Into the Swing of Things: The Powells

Trying to keep tabs on multiple families isn't the easiest task! Bob knows that red roses are a solid romantic gesture. "Bethany, you are such a beautiful, Godly young woman..." It's Been (Just Over) A Year: The Taylors

Taylors Part Six: Melissa Opens a Daycare

Melissa is now the only member of the family left at home during the day, so she decided to open a daycare. It allows her to stay at home, so there's no boss or women with green hair around. It's Leisure Day! Normally there are four festivals a year, but because I have this game in permanent summer mode, you only get Leisure Day, once every four weeks. Another Guest Post: The Bachmanns

The Bachmanns have their own save game (i.e. not the same one as the Smiths). I also put them on Long lifespan, for the lolz. They live in Newcrest, which ships as a blank hood. I created a restaurant, library and gym. Currently, they're the only household, aside from neighbours the Hensleys. The parents are Sarah and Matthias and the kids are Emma and Daniel. (Sims 3) Taylors Part Three: It's Been A While

I loaded Sims 3 today. I thought I'd muted all the sound options (voices, music, ambient, sound effects). Turns out I'd only muted music. I played and... NO CRACKLING PRAISE RUFUS. It cured itself! I GOT SIMS 3 TO WORK AGAIN dances

When in doubt, uninstall and reinstall. Thankfully I have it on Origin, so no need to faff around with multiple discs and serial codes. And, because it was on Origin, I still had my original Sims 3 fundie family, the Taylors (remember them?) Only issue is that the audio is still dodgy, so I have to mute all the sound, but that's fairly minor really. It feels odd to be playing it again after such a long break, though. I may get into these guys again, or just create a whole new save game.
