Lori Alexander 84: Stay Away from the Pool

Per her IG story, Alyssa has just confirmed that they did, in fact, teach their daughter to swim just the way Lori described.

No floaties, ever, for her kids apparently. They do have a pool now; so I understand the desire to ensure proper swimming skills. However, this move seemed very sudden and, to me, this gives off the vibe of “Oh crap! We gotta teach our kids to swim.”

It is so creepy to me now these people take pride in things that scare their children.

Isn't Alyssa's daughter only about 2 years old? I certainly hope Alyssa does not believe that her daughter now fully knows how to swim. I hope they have a tall fence around that pool.

I wonder if Lori has ever considered the havoc that would be unleashed if all the women left the workforce.  Who would do the jobs?  Who would work in the factories?  Would there still be enough check-out people in Lori's Whole Foods?  And, so what if the economy crashes?  Lori could think she's right.  Unless -- oh, crap -- does Lori think it's okay for the non-Christian women to continue to work and serve her?

LoonyLori used to say that women were only responsible to answering to God for their own actions.  Don’t try to change your man; let God deal with him!  Apparently that is no long enough. We are now responsible for our husband’s salvation and if we don’t suffer enough and he goes to hell, it’s all our fault.

Ken is her immodestly detector! Funny, her dress would not be considered modest enough for the cathedrals in Europe nor the mosques in the Middle East or SE Asia.

I would have thought it would have been the neckline and with a wrap dress it will gap if she leans over.  Anyone who wants to get turned on by wrinkly arms has my sympathy.

I've noticed that Lori wears a lot of deep v-neck, wrap bodice, above the knee, sleeveless dresses. Which ... hey ... Lori you do you.

But ... if a young girl wore the same dress Lori would screech and rant and rave about immodesty and making men stumble.

So ........ Lori  ......... is it age that determines immodesty?  You're old (as you say) so that dress is just perfect for church? Because you're old you won't cause a man to look at you and stumble?

Or ......... Is it really just do as you say, not as you do? Yeah, that's it. I'm positive that's it.

HoneyBunny is perfectly right that cathedrals in Europe and mosques would not allow that dress in.

But then Lori never goes anywhere, so she wouldn't be asked to leave for wearing that dress.

Gonna go out on a limb and guess that there are women working in her husband's office.

And definitely in the offices her husband  consults with.  Those offices could not function if women did not work outside the home.
So, I guess that means the Alexander’s lifestyle is dependent on the working women Lori bitches about.

I'm not sure, but I think Ken works from home now, mostly, in more of a consultant capacity. His sons, especially Ryan, do most of the actual hands-on work with orthodontists. I do know the address on the company website is their home address. So I wouldn't imagine he has woman working for him in his home office. Don't think Lori would stand for that! LOL. But if he has a freestanding office somewhere, with employees other than his sons, there are almost certainly women among them. So hypocritical.

ETA: Oh, and absolutely the practices for which his company consults employ women. Many women. MOSTLY women. LOL. And some of them are owned by women. Lori has indeed benefited greatly from women working, right in her bank account. Excuse me...her husband's bank account.🙄

I'm a big believer that people should wear what they want and feel comfortable.

That being said, it's funny that Lori only considers her own opinion and the almighty Ken's when deciding it what's modest or not.   My personal opinion (and I'm no arbiter of what is modest or not) is that it is perfectly modest for shopping, a backyard party, etc.  But none of the protestant or fundie-lite churches I grew up in, or even my semi- semi-progressive Catholic Church I attend now would consider that appropriate for church (too short, no sleeves)

Also I believe age is only in one's mind...I am 60 and people say I can pass for mid-40s BUT I don't dress like a middle school mom (ripped jeans, crop tops, etc). I'm not being critical of anyone my age doing that if they feel comfortable. I just don't feel confortable dressing like that anymore even though I can pass as younger.

All this is to say, it is my personal opinion, but that dress is "too young" for Lori and she just looks silly. And just because I'm BEC, it needs pressed or steamed or something. She said it was in the "giveaway" pile and it looks like she just pulled it out and put it on. I don't find it attractive or flattering at all.

Lifting light weights (1-5 lb hand weights as I progressed) was literally part of my physical therapy for neck and shoulder injuries after my car accident. And a positive side effect is that it helped my upper arms. She could absolutely do that. I still do it. But I'm sure it's not feminine or something like that.

Lori posted a list on FB this morning on why "he" is single. No clue who "he" is.  It's a wacky whiney-ass list. In short it's the fault of all the emotional feminist jezebel bitches out there that won't treat "him" like the little god lord and master "he" knows he is.

It was bad enough that the Incels all agreed with the list -- that's what we expect. It was the women-hating women, women like Lori, that chimed in that was so depressing.

Here's a representative comment from a fangirl leghumper, bolding mine.

Quote

A woman who has been brought low by the Lord will admit her need to have a head that corrects her emotions, and will even be grateful when you tell her she needs to calm down.

Ummm ....... No. 10,000 times No. 1,000,000 times No.  Hell NO to infinity. Women's emotions don't need correcting. Women don't need a whiney-ass Incel to tell them to calm down,

What these women-hating people mean by emotions is when a women (how very dare she) expresses her own thought or opinion or disagrees with a man.

How very dare a woman do anything other than submit and submit more and submit harder.

I am an extremely calm woman, nowhere near as “emotional” as Lori assumes all women are, but if a man ever told me to calm down, I’d yeet his nuts up his throat.

Today on FB Lori is again telling women not to have any emotions. Emotions are bad bad very bad.  Be like Lori. Be emotionless.  Don't feel anything. Merely pretend to love your husband and children.

Lori, there is a word that defines people who don't have any emotions, who don't feel anything. A word that most likely defines you.

Sociopath.

Lori's 18th grandchild was born last night.

And in the comments a woman won the grandkid sweepstakes:

Quote

We just found out that one of our daughters in law is expecting her second, our 50th grandchild.

I imagine a little steam escaped Lori's ears when she read that.🤣

Looks like Lori's FB page has reached the planet Vulcan:

Quote

Emotional irregulation is the term I use. It took me years to finally work from a place of logic instead of emotions. If emotions are controlling your thought process and actions, you will forever be in chaos.

Mr Spock would approve. I would have said he'd be proud, but that's an emotion.🖖

I'm a little more incensed than usual at Lori today. She's on the rampage against 'magic.' She wants all Christians to purge their homes of books, music, and video media that glorify magic, evil, and Satanic activities, including...you guessed it...Harry Potter. But also, Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia.😑

I noticed all the fangirling by people too stupid to realize that the Narnia books are Christian allegory written by a—wait for it—devout Christian.

Many people thing that JK’s thing about Dumbledore being “gay” was just a bone she threw to her audience in a feeble attempt at 21st-century “relevance.”

What dumb Lori doesn't realize is that Satan never made an appearance in Harry Potter.  He simply didn't come up.  Certainly, there was evil but it was human evil.  Harry was the embodiment of goodness and he led the battle against evil and won.

I'm done with these stupid people who think they're on solid ground when they outlaw the Harry Potter books.  They're not well informed enough to know how stupid they sound.

A year or so ago Lori was praising the Berenstain Bears books (the new ones are apparently more "Christian" -- written by the original author's son or something -- no more of that jezebel mama bear stuff)...

Should we ask Lori if she is getting rid of those? After all, there are no such things as talking bears -- must be magic!

yep.  I think the total is:

Cassi - 6

Emily/Steven - 5 (last one within the last 6- 9months or so)

Erin/Ryan -- 5 (last one also within last 6 months or so)

Alyssa/Jon -- 2

She recommended a children's book series about a raccoon, and I'm pretty sure it talks and walks on two legs like humans. So no, I doubt the Berenstains will be consigned to the trash anytime soon.🙄

And thanks for answering Melissa's question, because I couldn't have! I've lost track of which Alexander paragon of perfect upbringing has how many children.🥴

I believe it was Emily who just gave birth to her 5th. Lori kept counting this baby as a grandchild before the birth.
