Interesting. Hope they are happy as happy can be and I hope some of Peter's kids got to go to the wedding.

Good for the new Mrs. Braderick! for getting this program going.    She's an active professional woman; she owns a local restaurant that was caught up in a breast feeding brouhaha.

"We love breastfeeding mothers," said Noah's Ark owner Janet Garguile. "I was a breastfeeding mother, I breastfed all three of my children. We're sorry this has upset our customers."

Battle over public breastfeeding in Bremerton  A battle over breastfeeding in public will play out Saturday morning at a restaurant in Bremerton. That's where a local mom claims her rights were violated while she was nursing her son.

Catch me up on the Bradrick family? Are they the ones that had a daughter in law wear a yellow wedding dress?

I think we already knew this. It was probably posted on a different thread. They look happy. I always wonder if Kelly is happily remarried or if she just said yes to the first guy who would take on 6 step kids.

I think she unenthusiastically said yes to the first man Scotty Brown (not/never father of the year) convinced/ coerced to take her and the 6 step kids.

Hope she is happy, but intuition tells me no, and that she believes the unhappiness is normal married life.

Really really really hope she wasn't "convicted" to have more children.

I never got a positive vibe from that match.  The guy was a (I think) 30-something never married head master of a Xtian school.

Yeah, I'm sure it was a match made by Scotty Brown and never Kelly's choice.  I wonder if Bradrick! will get the call that Kelly is sending one or more of the kids to live with him.  I hope the kids at least get to visit Bradrick! in the summers.

Bradrick! and wife #1 Kelly were the darlings and the couple-of-the-year and marriage of the year  amonst the Vision Forum elite.

Kelly and Bradrick! proceeded to quickly have six children before the perfect marriage imploded and Kelly sued for divorce, based on...nobody knows for sure.  I

n the meantime,  Vision Forum had imploded because Doug Phillips was exposed as a sexual predator;  the Vision Forum gravy train left the station and left Bradrick! high and dry.  The young couple headed to the Pacific Northwest where Bradrick!'s family lives and Bradrick! became a realtor.  There's a classic photo of Kelly pregnant and maybe even barefoot, standing on the deck outside their mobile home on a damp day, surrounded by very young children. She looked so...over it.

Bradrick! stayed in the Pacific Northwest and Kelly and six kids flounced home to daddy Scottie Brown and then she married the current husband.

Weren’t they also the couple who gave their kids words as names? If memory serves me correctly the kids were:

Triumph Perseverance

Loyal Cromwell

Knox Defender

Geneva Conviction

Michael Courage

Shepherd Thomas

Geneva Conviction

If there is ever a comic book featuring reformed super heroes, I think Geneva Conviction has got to be at the top of the names list for a female protagonist.

Rather than wearing a skimpy leatherette ensemble she could be in a maternity frumper with “discreet” nursing panels for her eternally pregnant/nursing season of life. Her super power could be conviction rays that shoot out of her eyes and quicken the hearts of all who fall under her gaze with feelings of shame and despair.

Thankfully the name Geneva is cute and has several nicknames: Genna, Eva, Gennie that are totally normal.

How about a super heroine lawyer prosecuting war crimes?

Geneva Conviction is an awesome name, but I think it was actually Geneva Constance. I may like Conviction better though. 😂

I thought there were multiple adult Bradricks! Wasn't his father also a leader in VF or something?

Kelly was supposed to be the shining example of how stay-at-home-daughterhood was the perfect prescription for a young woman to seamlessly move into courtship, marriage and motherhood. She spoke at one of the VF Father-Daughter Retreats, she wrote articles for Vision Forum, the magazine carried a book she wrote about her grandfather in WW2, she had a big section in Return of the Daughters (starts around 26:60.) Their wedding was a huge event, and Doug Phillips made a big deal out of seeing their first kiss at the altar (I believe this indescribably weird photo came from that wedding.) I've always thought this was a good overview of her life within Vision Forum.

I don't think so. They ran their own little "family ministry" on the side and frequented the conference circuit. One of the daughters also wrote occasionally for Vision Forum.

So....where are Peter's kids these days?  Is Bianca going to be a step mom or is Peter living a child-free life?

Not basing on facts, but I'm assuming still with Kelly; maybe Peter gets to see them in the summer?  The oldest kids would be at an age where they can express preferences, unless any personal opinions or thoughts are suppressed in their current household.

Their oldest is 17, just a year away from being a legal adult and able to live wherever and with whom they choose.

I believe 5/6 of the Braderick! kids are teens or tweens now.

I think of Kelly and those kids and wonder what life has held for them.  I hope she has experienced love and compassion. I hope her second husband is kind and gentle. I hope the kids got to go to school and that the daughters were encouraged to be bold and courageous.

Kelly was bright and vivacious, smart and resourceful, hard working and full of perseverance. Seeing the light fade from her eyes and the impossible task of constant pregnancy and never relenting small children’s needs consume her was so difficult to watch. I hope she has found some measure of appreciation and respect.

Isn’t the infamous Wide Stance photo from this wedding, too? That one still makes me laugh til I can’t breathe!

@Columbia, thanks for digging up that account! I remember that depressing saga as if it had happened yesterday. IMO, Bradrick! has many, many miles to go before he's able to redeem himself.

I think that was the Tsantles wedding, but I never paid very close attention to all the weddings.

About the second husband…I seem to recall that there was someone on these threads who knew him, and said that he seemed very kind.

Ah, Tyler Tsantles, the baby groom.  Still a teen, IIRC; his bride was a few years older.

Unfortunately, as a younger man, he was a horseʻs ass:

Administrators testified [Robert] Ziegler was an excellent teacher. They said they had asked him several times to teach math, not Christianity, and his lectures on God violated the Constitution and state law.

He doesn't look particularly kind - more like a patriarse-in-training - in this March 2020 photo from Claudia Brownʻs wedding, but perhaps he is a decent person. I hope so, for Kellyʻs and her childrenʻs sakes.
