Didn't they have a visitor a few weeks ago from India? She wrote things for them in Hindi. I'm trying to figure out where they live in Indiana. I'm from Indianapolis and the Christmas tree farm looks like one in a nearby suburb. However, I think they might live closer to Chicago- probably up in "The Region" or close- I'm guessing near South Bend or in St. Joseph County. Anyone know?

If they had a backup sump pump with a battery and alarm they would have known that the main pump had stopped working. Very unprepared, Satan must have planned that!

The dryer breaking....well with that many loads anything mechanical is going to break!

Seven Sisters are so sheltered and so very young. I wonder how their parents expect them to met a husband, when they are together 24/7 and do not seem to venture out where they might meet a husband? Their frumpers certainly qualify them for the Maxwell men, but how are they to meet Joseph, John and Jesse?

When I first read it I thought one of you Freejingers had "attacked" them in the comments (you know because this is basically limbo here). Of course I, the heathen, didn't consider something as normal as a broken dryer as an attack of Satan. :doh:

And they live in Kosciusko county, though I have no idea where that is (not in Poland obviously). As I don't have a life I once read ALL their entries and in one of them they showed a 4-H certificate that one of the girls won and I think it was there. I might look for it later but now Satan, that old bugger, has sent me work.

The post reads really weird, almost like someone else wrote/influenced the beginning and end as the middle sounds very much like their normal posts. I hope they aren't becoming more Maxwellian, I've always liked how the sisters seem quite accepting of people who are very different from them.

They really need to stop the GAPS thing, though. They seem to cheat on it in every post!

One of the things I noticed was in the bit about the basement flooding. They said it is always damp down there anyway and they need a pump going all the time to take care of the water. When the pump went off the basement flooded. Now from what I can gather those girls, maybe the whole family, has health problems. They are treating it with diet, but I wonder if those health problems are more to do with damp.

Damp can cause all sorts of health issues, spores from mould caused by damp can effect so many systems in the body. I wonder if their health problems are caused more by the damp they have than any food intolerances.

I meant to comment on that basement post as well. First, that basement is worse than mine, and I didn't think that was possible! We also have a farmhouse with a creepy ass basement,but they need to have some kind of better drainage. It looks like the walls are moldy, I would be concerned about black mold. We had some kind of waterproofing done to the walls, and the dug a little channel next to the walls(the walls are stone with cement over them)We have a sump pump as well and it kicks on anytime it rains. We added a dehumidifier which also kicks on every few hours and that had made a world of difference .
