.....I have been eagerly waiting details of the unusual maiden's honeymoon, and was rewarded today when I saw that their honeymoon cruise to Canada included a stop at the Bay of Fundy(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I just read on her blog that she tried salmon for the first time on the cruise. Seriously? Salmon is pretty ubiquitous - just how sheltered has she been?

I think, though I'm not sure, she's mentioned that she's picky about food and hasn't tried a lot of things that most people have.

She should definitely retitle her blog "An Unusual Matron..." :D

I don't think it's too weird that she hasn't tried salmon before. I haven't tried most fish because growing up, my family didn't like frozen fish which where I live, is the only kind we can get, unless your talking about trout caught in the river here. Since my family couldn't get much fresh fish, only the nasty frozen crap, we just didn't eat fish. Maybe she's in a simlar situation.

I agree, Sunnichick31....wasn't surprised she hadn't had it before.

I love salmon, but getting it where I live is rather prohibitively expensive, at least for the good stuff. Other members of my family haven't had any before. Some people just don't eat a lot of fish.

Rebecca is honestly one of the few where I can say that although I disagree with about 95% of her beliefs, I don't find her personally offensive. And in the fundie blogging world, that is high praise indeed.
