I have a British version (the original doesn't work in the UK because of voltages and shit) which has these stupid dirt collecting ridges on the head which make the whole thing a pain in the arse to clean.

Of course there's a limit to how dirty it gets, because I use it for back massages and nothing else.

Do Lelos work over there? That's my go-to brand, and they have a wand that looks a lot nicer than Hitachi's.
