Guy's Grocery Games (Food Network)

Full Disclosure: I really, really, really do not care much for Guy Fieri (I can't even be bothered to make sure I've spelled his last name correctly). Unfortunately, you can't watch Food Network without having him be IN YOUR FACE (does he even have an "inside voice?") quite a lot. :|

I do love game shows though, so I try to just pretend he's not there when I watch this one and enjoy the contestants and judges. They come up with some pretty creative stuff. I've had my husband make some similar things to what contestants have made after I've seen it on GGG ;)

Oh, man, Guy Fieri. You can't throw a rock in my part of Northern California without hitting something that says "Guy Fieri".

Look, all I have to say about him is... his hairdresser travels with him but his hair still looks like THAT.

I think I am suffering from Guy F. fatigue. It followed Bobby Fly, Giada DeLaurentis, Ann Burrell, Alex Guarnaschelli and Geoffrey Zakarian fatigue --- overexposure on Food Network. I like the network, especially the food shows that are contests or outside the strictly in the kitchen, here's the recipe format. So glad Ann B. is now two for two in the loss column in "Worst Cooks in America". She has to be one of the worst losers I've ever seen.

All I can say about this show is that it really makes Alton Brown's show Cutthroat Kitchen look like the piece of crap that it is.

yesssssssssssssssss! I really liked Jamie (and Amber was ok, too), but I really wanted Amber to win ONLY because I wanted Ann to lose again this year. She is SO obnoxious, particularly about winning (or losing, whichever way you want to look at it). I already was down on her attitude and they showed a repeat of her on Chopped and she ended up winning that one against Robert Irvin and she had a bad attitude there, too.

The way she "plays" it, I suspect she thinks she's being cute/funny/witty or something of that nature, but I just find her bitchy and obnoxious and it makes me want the other person to win. I'm not a huge fan of Bobby Flay normally, but I have totally been Team Bobby the last 2 seasons on Worst Cooks.

I can't tell you all how sick that made me feel. I hope that they may have changed but somehow I doubt it. At least he didn't win. Aaron McCargo did. I read somewhere that Alton Brown likes to get fundies on the network which may be why Melissa D'Arabian won her season.

I love cooking competition shows!! However I can not stand Cutthroat Kitchen. I can't quite put my finger on why I detest it so much, but I just do. I find nothing redeeming about it.

I do really like this show. I think it is a neat spin on the cooking competitions, and even Guy isn't overly annoying.

Have any of you caught Kitchen Casino yet? It is just as bizarre as Cutthroat Kitchen, the one I really didn't get was the roulette wheel kitchens where they randomly spun the kitchens around multiple times during the cooking period so you never knew who's food you were going to be working on next or which one you would be serving to the judges. I just don't get why they come up with all these odd stumbling blocks- it makes them seem like jackasses trying to fuck with the contestants not making a cooking competition challenging like Iron Chef or Chopped.

I like Cutthroat Kitchen, but it's probably because my preschooler enjoys it, thus allowing us to watch something instead of Curious George. After awhile, I'll take anything resembling an adult show.

Maybe his hairdresser does that on purpose, since Guy got hammered on a plane then got into a fistfight with the hairdresser... and it was all videotaped and uploaded to TMZ.
