The general threads are so long that I think it's okay to make ew threads for different aspects so we can keep up with what's happening. There's also another reason I made this separate. The state has helped conceal this.

I think the state needs serious investigating. The officer who initially talked to Josh violated his position by not reporting. A judge ordered the unusual destruction (as in literally, there is no longer any record, just as if history has been wiped clean of this, aside from the victims having to live with it), and the state can no longer acknowledge this since there's no longer a record to back it up. How is this family getting the authorities to help so much with covering things up?

The request came from a minor (aka the parents of the minor requesting on their behalf). It must be on behalf of Joy, because all the other victims are no longer minors.

Because Joy is the only daughter who is still a minor. A minor is the one who petitioned for the destruction (through parents..).

I'm sure there are more victims of Josh Duggar out there. But I wonder if this being so public will deter anymore witnesses to come forward, especially since they have ascertained that the statute of limitations is up, he can't be charged. I'm hoping for privacy reasons that other possible victims will not come forward because the public attention of this can make them relive the horror and cause them undo stress but I hope they will go and seek specialized counseling for survivors of sexual abuse.

I would just like to highlight that Josh Duggar did not voluntarily resign from FRC Action.

He was FORCED to resign, and ADMIT to the molestation claims, only once InTouch released the police report. There was nothing he could do, the police report was out, his family's name was smudged and there was nothing he could do but own up to himself.

Had this report not surfaced, Josh would still be working at FRC, like the hypocrite and Pharisee that he is, and acting like God's gift to America.

Since the police report was released, the family immediately requested the original document to be destroyed. The only reason they could do this, was due to the technicality that Joyanna is only 17 (a minor, just barely). God knows what else could have surfaced otherwise.

The Duggar's are doing all they can to keep any and all remaining details a secret from the public.

Let the hypocrisy continue!

I wonder why their dumb asses didn't ask for the record to be destroyed before this came out in the public, years ago? Obviously, he was not convicted and no charges were formally filed and weren't going to be. I don't like the fact that Josh would have been protected by destroying the documents prior to this but they could have stopped the 3 ring media circus that has now destroyed their daughters. Oh wait.. I know the answer, JB and Michelle thought they were untouchable, they thought everyone bought the fallacy that said they were America's perfect Fundie family. Well now that this has come to light, I hope JB and Michelle realize what a mess they have made for their children by being such fundie extremists that they thought the Duggar Dynasty was untouchable.

It seems to me that a credible group of investigators needs to dig into Jim Bob Duggar's past and present concerning illegal activities, child pornography, association with pedophiles and exerting illegal influence over law enforcement officials. And who knows, maybe other things as well. Like tax evasion which could see him stripped of all assets under the RICO statute. :nenner:

I think the lying, the hiding, the utter lack of regard for anyone other than himself regarding Josh's teenage crimes is just the tip of the iceberg. Also, I think Josh needs to be investigated more thoroughly. He learned much of his deceiving, lying thieving ways from his father. And by thieving, I am referring yet again to the $54,000 of tax debt to the IRS originating in AR that no one knows what it's for, how long it's been owed, or anything else, apparently.

By giving the victims anonymity, the lack of exposure of the investigation, such as it was, would also have protected the perpetrator. How is that a good thing, again?
