Wow! I got to be one of only about 100 people (excluding trainers) in the world that have been this close to a Beluga Whale! What a blast...literally... because right after this photo he sprayed water all over me! And boy it was cool...the water was 59 degrees!!! (If you don't think that's cold try getting thermometer out and taking a bath in that!!!) @ Georgia Aquarium

Some how I doubt that that only 100 people have done that.

Nice one! (btw... I never understand why they make laws they don't enforce...there was a policeman who came by and watched while several people in this small Arkansas town lit airborne fireworks...they have an ordinance against them...but they don't have any enforcement in place for that ordinance...so, basically it's like saying don't shoot them please, but wow those are cool!

A friend of mine as he lights some airborne fireworks in a city that has an ordinance against airborne fireworks! (he'll remain anonymous...lol!)

So, as long as you are entertained it's ok to break the law?

Waaay more then 100 people (excluding trainers) have been close to a Beluga Whale, it sounds like something trainers would tell someone to make them feel special.

Marineland in Ontario has a beluga 'touch-tank', so yeah, like 100 people an hour get close to a living breathing beluga whale.

Nice. Rat out your friends, why don't you? Did he really have to stress that the fireworks were illegal not once but twice? I guess bad boy thinks he's living on the edge!

Most of his posts are photos of meals he's had at various restaurants. Who wants to see a photo of a plate of fried chicken?

I noticed this too. 90% of his pictures are either a) at a restaurant b) of food at a restaurant or c) of signage at a restaurant. He really is a glutton.

I love to eat too, just like most people enjoy a yummy meal but fast food? That isn't quite good eatin there, just a means to an end.

On the other hand most of his life they were too poor to go out to eat, even if it was fast food, and the very few times they did go out he wasn't the one choosing what to eat. Going out to eat any time you want and ordering any thing you want, that must be a fascinating new world.

Are the Duggars in Atlanta for in some speaking engagement? I think someone mentioned it here. Was the Living Waters video filmed in Atlanta?

Smuggar is a definite glutton.

Oh, I like to eat too. I don't really judge him on that. It's more the taking pictures of it all that I find asinine.

But then again, maybe this is why he does it. Remember the episode where the Bateses came and they all had a meal out? Gil said they could order real drinks and not just water. It's a really simple thing that most of us would just assume but when you have so many kids, you really can't afford some things (unless you have a show). So I could see why eating out would be so exciting after many years of not eating out. Plus, it's not like the culinary standards in the Duggar home were very high (TTC). I'm no Iron Chef or anything. My cooking skills include toast and reheating and I would die without my dad who cooks. I admit this. I just mean, if the Duggars eat a lot of the same "quick" meals a lot, it probably gets really boring so eating out would seem even more exciting.

Can I just point out at where I live the (Atlantic) ocean is around the same temp in April/May/October, and that still doesn't stop us going all the way in if the weather's nice? And one of my friends grew up near the great lakes, where the water is easily in the 40s and 50s. Not bath temperature, no, but that doesn't mean it's not swimming temperature, or that you're super special for going into such "cold" water...

Also, he's my age, and I'm cringing at his posts. They sound like something I would've written in middle, maybe high school....anyone else feeling the same way?

If the Duggars used food as a reward or punishment (see the recent Maxwell thread), then Josh might have some issues there as well.

Raises hand

He really does have piss poor writing skills. He's a bad example of home schooling.

That's homeSHOOLING! I dare someone to send him a message to correct it.

As for the water, that's positively balmy for the ocean off San Francisco. Water temp here maxes out in the upper 50's in September, but our late spring this year has caused water temps to only be in the low 50's right now. Note to Smuggar: for the two minutes he was in that tank, wearing a modest wear wetsuit, he can deal.

Considering the other posts regarding Smug's eating habits, he's like I was when I moved out and could watch TV at will (my parents ditched our set when I went out of town for a weekend when I was 15); I only got to watch TV when I babysat...I babysat a lot.

Other kids may act out this way with drugs/alcohol. Junkfood isn't much better; someone needs to send him a DVD of Supersize Me. If anything, it'll scare the shit out of Anna.

That's something I would have written in middle school. To be fair, a lot of my fellow public-school classmates are far worse off than he is...

A glutton and a consumer whore. I'll bet he gets some sort of deal out of plugging all of these places. I feel like the Duggars have become one big living advertisement for any business that comes their way. So much for being "set apart from the world"... :snooty:

Someone needs to clue in the DQ that Smugs is using social networking.

In a recent podcast she claimed no one in her family was on Facebook and that those pages that purported to belong to them were all fakes.

No one could or would fake Josh's "Fundie's Fascinating Fast Food Forays".

Or those fake smile/sad eyes pics of Anna. :(

I must have missed her qualifier.

But I'm pleased to know Smuggar is causing her some disappointment. It may as well start with the first one. It's a dark, slippery slope. What's on the horizon for Josh? Soft porn on Showtime after dark?

With all the "sin in the camp" rumours, the handsex, and his young, quick marriage complete with excessive PDA...I would not be surprised if he already started on the soft porn, unless Anna's "submitting to her headship" every night. The conservative Christians I know for whom sex and all things sexual are similarly expressly forbidden are the same ones who have the most trouble avoiding porn. I suspect the events are related...

I could see that. I remember when I came home from my first college (where I didn't have a car) being able to get in my car and drive to any fast food place I wanted and buy whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted felt like the greatest luxury in the world. It was a way to remind myself that I wasn't trapped, that I had control over my life.

Sorta explains his ever expanding waistline..
