Time Zero trilogy by Carolyn Cohagan! Not Year Zero. I'm mixing my American dystopian futures with Cambodian genocidal regimes.

I’m torn between telling some bombastic asshole to keep my name out of his mouth/off his keyboard and posting the Michael Jackson eating popcorn gif as a response (this is on Facebook). This is the same guy who thinks insurance doesn’t make people healthier but got a gastric bypass years ago. He’s a big Bloomberg supporter. Okay, fine. But one of his main arguments is that the Johns Hopkins BLOOMBERG School of Public Health shows that he knows the most about health and should write health insurance policies. This is why he tagged me, because Bloomberg donating to public health means he’s funding me. Does he pay taxes though? If he does then he’s finding my salary! But I’m not sure how having a crapton of money makes him an expert on health and the intricacies of insurance policies. And he’s trying to argue that all those donations cancel out stop and frisk. And he’s trying to convince a black man of this.
 
It’s like watching JRod try to form a coherent argument, thinking she’s the smartest person in the room because she spent a day on Moody’s campus. 

How I feel after most spam emails and telemarketing calls. 
 

If anyone is into YA dystopian fiction I recommend the Year Zero trilogy. Very interesting in light of some of the craziness we read about here.

Sooo, kitchen renovations means no stove, and no water. I have very mixed feelings about having to use disposable kitchenware. And, good recipies, microwave only, anyone?

I just realized I'm at the season in life passed any chance of going camping.
I never wanted to before, but can't stop binge watching this guy and now I want to live in a hot tent in subzero temps.
 

Kitchen renovations! Hopefully I will end up with a new, lean, clean kitchen cuisine!

Cried for a while tonight, out of gratitude for being born in an era where ladles are a common technology.
Idk how long I stood there weeping and gazing lovingly at my ladle as I emptied the dishwasher...but I'm sure it was an alarmingly long time.
