I thought it was kind of cute personally! A kid can't help it if his parents are one way or another. This kid is just making the best of it, and it almost seems like he/she might be happy, which is nice too.

Highschool is bad, middle school is worse. My kid was homeschooled through primary but is now in public middle school. Thankfully he coudn't give a fuck what other people think about him, so the bullshit slides right off his back. I went along on a field trip recently and I swear my PTSD was triggered in the first five minutes.
