Fierce minions

Don't be fooled by their modest countenance and Victorian petticoats (not shown), these ladies can kick your ass.

Goldfish

I really enjoyed coloring this yesterday! It's from the book, Secret Garden, by Joanna Basford. I used Fiskar's gel pens.

FJ tags

Forget snarking about fundies, judging from the tag cloud FJ is a coloring site...

Hummingbirds

I made little effort to try to be symmetrical here.  The work in places is tiny.  Done with Super Doodle and Frixion Gel Pens.  From Stress Reducing Coloring Patterns.  (it was finish up some coloring projects weekend)

Affirmations (2 pages)

2 pages from the Louise Hay Affirmations Coloring book.  Cousin K turned me onto Louise Hay.  I follow her on Facebook.  I have a book of hers on the spiritual/energy/mental causes behind illnesses and pain.  I explain this because I ordered the book knowing this.   it is a combination of floral or mandala like coloring paes and affirmations.   Thick book.  High Quality paper.  That is printed on both sides.   I did the first page in a combo of shapries and flairs.  The second shot is of th

Feeling blue

Her face had some blue accidentally and I wasn't going to do this page at first but then I decided she'd be a mermaid, her hairstyle rocks some algae and plankton anyway. The other girl was more difficult as her hair has less  texture in the coloring page so I just gave her some random stripes. Some of the areas that look uncolored are in fact pale green in the original but the camera chose to ignore it.

Race For The Cure Shirts

While I am waiting to find the perfect coloring book, thought I would post the designs I made for our companies Komen Race for the Cure T-shirts...

Pretty In Pink

Finally got my peacock page finished and took it outside this morning to attempt a photo. I read that natural light was better for photographing art. Gave it a try anyway! It was windy and somehow here in Florida the temps went from 85 yesterday to 55 this morning. Luckily, that won't last.

Secret Garden #3

I had a few gel pens with enough in the tank to do this.  It looks weird because I couldn't get the page to lie flat. It is, of course, much glitterier than it appears. I had quite a bit in my silver pen so I incorporated that but, as we've discussed before, it doesn't colour that well. I like this but it's a bit *yawn*.  A lot of my pictures look like this. But, it's pretty, I think.

testing new markers

I got a bunch of new markers and had to test them straight away.   I like the richness of the colors and the way they don't get streaky a lot but it bleeds through an awful lot. This is what it looks like on the other side.

Secret Garden (my first page of it)

It's a bad photo, which washes out color, but here is my version of a page out of the Secret Garden (someone else has done this one before).     My next page is going a lot faster because I'm attacking it differently

Presents!

This was my first try with playing with markers and colored pencils, and my first page out of my Christmas Scapes by Jessica Mazurkiewicz.

Sharing a couple while I wait on calculating files

Not projects done while the files calcuated.  Just me sharing them.  Both from my 'work' coloring book. the first is in twistable.  And while this looks symettrical - the top right and lower left do not match.  which made me a tad twitchy.   This one is with my crayola pipsqueaks.  It's a tad messy in places.  But that's okay.  (by the way that darker 'red' is labeled Salmon and the lighter color is a 'melon.'  go figure)

My Purple Rooster

Am still working on coloring a page from my peacock book.  I drew this rooster last night when I needed a break from my peacock!

Stress Relieving Coloring

The first pic is my using all but I think 3 of my Super Doodle Gel pens (not used black, a black/dark gray metallic, and white).  It was a fun test project (although at times messy due to tiny spaces probably better suited to my Frixion pens but I wanted to use the Super Doodles).  The silver metallic seems to be showing up best but there are both glitter and metallics in this one.       The second from the same book is done with my CraZ Art colored pencils.  Shades of pinks, orang

Snowflakes

Thanks to El Nino our winter has been pretty non-existent- it's been raining all day here, so I spent my Sunday afternoon finishing two snowflake mandalas. They're from a Creative Haven book.

Doodling

Another thing I used to do was take a black marker and draw a big enclosed looped pattern. Then I'd grab random markers to fill in the spaces. Until I have enough color choices, my app coloring will be limited because I can't deal if the "right color" isn't there. (My nail lady is now in search of a forest or emerald green, which I have sworn to use no matter when she finds it.)
