Thank you for the link. That red is really pretty.

I looked through the pictures, and I saw handles on the back seats, which leads me to believe that they can be folded down. Can you fold those down? Our Hyundai has that feature, and it's really nice when you need extra cargo room.

Yes the rear seats can be folded down. In fact yesterday when I went fir a drive one of the seats was down.

Picked her up this afternoon.

Drives pretty nice.  She's in the garage now getting to know the Equinox parked in the neighboring space.

I really like how they did the interior this time. Made it look nice instead of all plastic looking.  Really like the backup camera on this one.

General Motors is recalling all Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles sold worldwide to fix a battery problem that could cause fires.

The recall announced Friday adds about 73,000 Bolts from the 2019 through 2022 model years to a previous recall of 69,000 older Bolts. Gm says in rare cases the batteries have two manufacturing defects that can cause fires.

Fuck. I wanted to be done with these issues. If I had known this was going to happen I would have gotten something else. I’m a little irritated at GM right now.

Servo had a bath today. 

So she’s looking good again now. Has people checking her out in Dyersville today.

I asked GM and my local dealer what the fuck they propose I do when the local grocery store starts telling Bolt owners not to park in their lots anymore like this lot did in California.  Or when their "fix" permanently reduces the range on my vehicle.  I took my time with shopping for a new car too and didn't buy the new car the second she hit the lot back in early June.  Just a little pissed off tonight.

Especially since my Bolt doesn’t use oil this there’s no oil to change.

Yesterday I was at a brewery in the SW Twin Cities Metro.  An asshole pulled in to one of the EV spots next to me and was a real fuckstick when I asked him what him what he'd do if someone with two miles of charge pulled up and found the space taken by an asshole like him.  He was proud he took the spot and didn't give two shits if someone ran out of fuel because of him.  I later saw that fucker in the brewery and he was wearing an ID badge from his employer.  I was kicking myself for not grabbing the badge, getting a photo of it, and sending it on to his employer asking if they approve of such behavior. 

I think state legislatures need to start treating EV charging spots like handicapped spots.  Like $250 for the first time someone blocks a charging a spot, $1000 for the second offense, and $1000 along with vehicle forfeiture for a third offense.   

It just sets me off when some of these assholes take up spots and not give a fuck but would raise all holy hell if someone parked in a spot they felt they were entitled to.

I went to the Twin Cities Outlet stores today since they got their Electrify America stations up and going now.  I needed to charge up as much as possible today since a friend and I plan to go on a drive tomorrow through SE Minnesota and back.  It got me from 16% to 80% in an hour.  I might have gone up to Rosedale and used some of my EVgo credit to fast charge but I didn't feel like doing that.  I'm going to plug in tonight as well.  Hopefully I'll have enough of a charge that I won't need to charge at all tomorrow and we can just enjoy the ride.  I'm going to just head over and pick my friend up at her place then head out on the ride.
