John Glenn, first American to orbit Earth, dies

John Glenn, famous astronaut who was the first American to orbit earth, died today. He also later went back up and holds the title of oldest person to ever go into space.

I was very young when he orbited the Earth, but he did it on my birthday, so I've always had a special spot in my heart for John Glenn.

Not only that, he represented Ohio quite well in the Senate for 24 years. He is the longest serving senator Ohio has had.
