Rapists,child abusers,child rapists not true feminists blame

We have seen MRA's do the rapist thing but to deny it and call it nonviolent when a child is raped beaten or abused is far more then I have seen before. The sad part is his position and people will stupidly listen to him. it really makes me wonder how he treats woman. I did not know the catholic church was such a feminist organization. Or that feminism existed in biblical times.

Misogyny knows no bounds when it comes to some people, and that seems to apply to Professor Stephen Baskerville at Patrick Henry College too. In a mandatory lecture, he issued what amounted to apologies for everything from rape to child and domestic abuse, but not in the manner one might think. Rather, he blamed the U.S.’s high incarceration rate on the feminist agenda to criminalize and punish these actions.

He cited Marie Gottschalk, a professor from the University of Pennsylvania who studied the possible effects of such criminalization in the ’60s and ’70s, and who concluded that it would “contribute to a more punitive culture,†as support for his position.

The first issue with his lecture is his attribution of our massive incarceration rate to the “feminist agenda.†In fact, our massive incarceration rate is far more due to our failed war on drugs than it is to imprisoning people for sex crimes and abuse. Another truth that might be difficult for him to face is that only about 3% of all the rapists out there ever actually serve jail time. Of 46% of cases that get reported, that same number jumps to a whopping 7% that will serve jail time.

Sooooooo its feminists fault that some cults/fundie forms of normally reasonable religions marry off and then rape 12 year old girls? That Gothard loves to touch his teenage girl interns? That Doug Phillips used his power and influence as a cult leader to tool Hero? That for years, Catholic priests were molesting little boys and covering it up? That Michael Pearl's evil teachings caused the deaths of at least three children? That he nearly raped Debi to death on their honeymoon from hell? All of the stories about kids who were raised fundie and escaped (but with both physical and mental scars) or the ones that did not get away-how can anyone justify withholding basic needs and locking a child outside for hours in the cold without a coat? The rampant child beating in fundie culture? The victim blaming in fundie culture.

It is not feminism to blame for the fact that less than half of rapes get reported. Its how people say that she shouldn't have been wearing that skirt or walking around at night. That she got pregnant so she must have enjoyed it as vaginas have rape protection. That she must have led him on. That she should have protested more. She shouldn't have been drinking. That all men are unstoppable sex machines who are one sight of a woman's knee away from being a rapist. That women shouldn't say no to their husbands as men always want sex. That women who aren't virgins (even if it wasn't consensual) are dirty like a piece of used chewing gum or a piece of candy that was licked by someone else and if any man knew she wasn't a virgin he would never ever want her. That even little girls should cover up so they don't defraud men.

Those are all fundie teaching.

I got that it wasn't feminists fault that these things happen, but it was the fault of the feminists for making such a big deal over them and going so far as to criminalize these very normal things, as part of the evil feminists campaign to feminize men and culture. After all, boys will be boys, and these things have always happened, but unless and until they are illegal and women have the damn nerve to prosecute, well, it wasn't a problem for the men, now was it!

He's sorry women ruined what was really just good normal order of life.....
