Brilliant! Fundie Cruise!!! I'm now tempted.

The Casino. The alcohol.

I take it they get it free right? How Godly of them to put up will all that debauchery in the name of the LAWD (freebie!)

All the benefits of a cruise: "All-you-can-eat buffets, 4 course formal dinners, pizza, soft serve machine, pools, hot tubs, basketball court, destination seminars, ice carving shows."

Can you imagine the heart palpitations that list would give Steve Maxwell? Unrestricted food? Basketball? Wasting ice? Oh, Lord, NO!

Does Steve have a thing about wasting ice or was this just a funny thing to say. Because it was funny, but it would be funnier if it was true. :D

No, not that I know of. He just sucks the fun out of every little thing by looking for any negative implications and that was the only thing I could think of for ice carvings. But, it would be funny if it were true. I can see it in my minds eye -- stern message on the freezer: One ice cube per drink!

Just came back from a cruise 2.5 weeks ago. Beside the food, what I enjoyed the most from it was all the alcoholic drinks-something these fundies would give a death glare for. :D

Oh and the slot machines. Cannot forget about the slot machines.

I wonder which of our Fundie families will be going on this cruise, and if it is like a Marriage Market for Fundies? I would LOVE to see the Maxwells go, but that would never happen. I honestly hope some FJer goes and lets us in on fundie sightings and possible hook-ups! Josh wouldn't be the only one who would love the "All You Can Eat Buffets." Are the Wissmans Gothard ATIers or VF Groupies, or a combo? They have managed to marry off several of their offspring. Wouldn't it be lovely to see all the Arndts on the cruise ship - they would love the suntanning and performances.

You can get some pretty serious deals on cruises right about now. How are they going to deal with the other thousand or so people on the ship? You know, the drunk half naked ones?

I notice they added a token minority family. Do we know them? He appears to be a Mennonite/Anabaptist type???

Just looked at their blog to see the cruise poster. Its the Royal Caribbean to the Bahamas. We've done it once. We're doing it again. Its a great cruise but with their, um attitudes, I don't see them having any sort of fun. Plus, if they're inclined to "minister" to the other passengers, they will not be met with love and fellowship or whatever they call it. The kids under 18 have a one am curfew on the ship. Will they let their kids stay out that late? I don't know these people - are they more tolerant than the Duggars? Will they stay out in Key West after dark? They may feel a bit...uncomfortable at the ...well... diversity of people and attitudes expressed there.

soft serve machine -- If the Duggars went, one of the howler monkeys would probably stick his mouth under the machine & serve himself, sans cone.
