In Business For 2016

Okay, so just in time for the utter end of the year, we got our Dealer's License certificates from the state for another year.  Yes folks, I Deal.  Sort of.  This is a dandy requirement (file this under 'things not covered in any accounting class I took in college')  for my present employer, specifically our plant so that we can sell tool trailers to utility companies.  It is only one of lots of other things we sell.  This year I think we sold 8.  Last year was a banner year of 31 (and not ordinary, but we aren't complaining either).  Anyway, I get the pleasure of handing manufacturer's certificates of origin and other assorted paperwork.  Getting the correct necessary information our of customer service who has to get it from the customer is always 'fun.'  Nothing against CS.  This is just a 'folks we must have the correct information or we have to have the buyer to go back to the vendor to get a new one and it can take weeks to get a new one' exercise.

This also makes me responsible for the licenses renewal every year.  Do you know how difficult it is to get people who are above you on the food chain to do background checks and provide you (or your boss for that matter) with names, addresses, social security numbers, and phone numbers?  Yeah.  Fun stuff.  And every year I sweat what the state will nitpick this year on our licenses applications (yes, two because we make some and resell others after upgrading them a bit).  This year was no different.  The boss handed me the certificates a bit ago.  Not long after I returned to my warm office from trekking across town in the cold  on slightly icy streets to CS to drop off papers for a recent sale.  The good news is, we can sell trailers on 1/1.

James attended Tiffy's baby shower with his flaky Bates counterpart, Trace.

So have we talked about what MacArthur said lately? He said there’s no such thing as ADHD, OCD, and PTSD. It’s all just big pharma trying to medicate everyone and turn them into drug addict on the streets of LA. I swear he said that. If he had been talking about OxyContin, I wouldn’t have batted an eye. But WTF? How could Jinger listen to this garbage and agree? How does she not see the similarities between MacArthur and Gothard?

Probably because Jeremy actually works directly for MacDaddy. There can't be anything wrong with him, right? 🙄

Could James be courting a Langdon? I know Jason has been linked with Claire, but could it be James? Because he was in Knoxville this weekend per Trace and Lydia's Bates IG's and we know Emma's graduation party from Crown was this weekend per Josie's.

I’m actually not super active or high energy. I love staying in, reading and not having to socialize and talk to people. But I still feel like I need to get out the house at least once per day. Living in a big city it’s not much of an effort either. Going to the supermarket or the bakery is like a 5 minute walk.

I’ve been sick for months between November last year and March this year. It started off as a cold that wouldn’t go away, the cough turned into bronchitis, it kept getting worse until I could hardly walk for 5 minutes and spiked a pretty bad fever for a week and ended up in hospital with pneumonia and broken ribs from all the coughing.

I’m in my early 40s and have never really been sick apart from a cold, so this was a humbling experience. I am almost back to normal now thankfully, but these months really made me appreciate being able to do all the “normal” things. Just being able to go for a walk without having to worry whether I’ll be out of breath, having enough energy for full work days, being able to plan outings again without the thought of “not sure if I’ll be well enough to go” at the back of my mind, it feels so good!

So I guess that’s one reason why I try to get out the house every day - because it simply feels good that I CAN!

Glad you are feeling better. I have had breathing problems since December.  I had a mild heart attack at the end of January. I'm recovered from the heart attack, but im still having breathing problems. I have to get a pacemaker. I'm hoping that helps my breathing.
