Spring showed up this week

It got up into the 80s yesterday.  We had some storms though and some hail.  Glad my vehicle was in its parking spot in the garage when the storms came through.  For the rest of this week we're supposed to see lows in the upper 50s to highs close to 90 with some storms in the mix.

Got the windows wide open now even though I live under a final approach for MSP.

All of the above. The "clinic" is an obvious scam. The only positive results seem to be making him feel good while eating some nice food but he could do all of that at home and for a lot less money plus be with family & friends. Pulling infected wisdom teeth? Removing/replacing metal filling? Who on earth recommends doing such things to a person who is seriously ill with cancer? This "clinic" is nothing but a quack magnet.

This is a terrible situation for them. As Iʻve said, it may be that they just cannot afford conventional treatments but, OTOH, they could probably have raised & spent the same amounts so that something truly beneficial might be done, even if it's hospice or palliative care measures. To throw away so much money and TIME on a bunch of charlatans is heartbreaking.

Removing an infected tooth is the only thing that makes sense here. Having that tooth stay where it was would be a major risk for sepsis down the road, esp in a person with cancer. Before the age of antibiotics, infected teeth lead to a lot of people dieing from it.

Are Shalom and her husband the ones who lived years ago in the middle of the desert in a trailer without running water and electricity while having a lot of little kids and fighting the local tribe over water rights? I read her story years ago and nearly got whiplash from all the head shaking.

@Cam Anti-anxiety meds were life changing for me, too. I had to work on not going down the rabbit trail of "what if I'd been on these 20+ years ago?"

Agree 100% with everyone’s remarks on Gothard’s stance regarding meds for ADHD, PTSD, etc. In mid-life I was hit with severe anxiety due to a health crisis. No amount of journaling, meditating, exercising or praying (at the time I still held Christian beliefs) offered one tiny, single bit of relief. My doctor worked with me to find the right meds to help, and when I started taking it, I literally went from sitting on my sofa shaking to getting up and walking back into my life. I’ve continued on the meds and am pretty sure I probably had untreated anxiety since I was a teenager. My family, including siblings, were of the “tough it out” mentality. They viewed this kind of medicine as a crutch, a sign of weakness, and they ridiculed and criticized it. Nice people, right?

      So, yeah, fuck Gothard.

I'm sorry you went through that, and very glad that you feel better now. Fuck anyone who doesn't take people's suffering seriously.

It seems the police think there’s enough evidence to prove Mica Miller committed suicide. Even if she did commit suicide and her husband didn’t murder her, he needs to step down as pastor. It’s obvious he groomed her and divorced his wife to marry her. And she did claim he was abusive to many people. He sounds like he’s a dangerous person and should not be in a position of authority pastoring a church.
