About this blog

A blog where I document the lives of my sims 2 fundies. Formerly created for Ranford family, it now also covers the life of more ambitious and image-savvy Lyndsay Hsu and her husband Jihoon.

We Are Back. Again. Part I: Ranfords

Christmas is over, New Year is gone, I'm out of excuses. Back to weekly posting plan. And, so, what's going on in Ranford household? To be honest, not much. Life continued in familiar, chaotic misery.    Viola started a new parenting strategy. You put a crying baby on floor and lecture it. Very fundie-like, and very unproductive.    She decided to share this wisdom to the world with her first book. Basically, it’s a collection of her blog posts, but rea

Blessed be the Leghumpers: Part 2 (Hsus)

This is the new house of our darling power couple. You thought they would live in forest like Ranfords? Lol, no.    Lyndsay believes that gardening and cooking from scratch makes her better than others more feminine.    As church now belongs to Hsus, they must visit it every day.   Lyndsay tried to fix what Jihoon screwed up. Jihoon doesn't mind that his wife is now responsible for business - after all she is still submitting to him, right? Right?

Blessed be the Leghumpers: Part 1 (Ranfords)

Hello again. The blog now has a new title and two new main characters, but some things will never change. Like the ridiculousness of Ranfords.  When we last left them, they had just welcomed four new sons. How is their life with quads?  Well... Fun fact: it takes about four hours to feed two toddlers and five babies. Then you have about an hour to take a shower or eat, before the long and messy circle of diaper change starts.  If you get lucky, they sleep between feeding and changi

Ranfords, Days 20 - 23: Beyond Blessed (No, Seriously,Too Many Blessings)

Hello. Ranfords are back. I'm not sure how often I will update from this point on, but I hope for weekly posts.    When we last left Ranfords, they had just welcomed their forth blessing. In case you forgot, Ranfords now have four sons: Reed, Forest, River and Huckleberry. Thanks to my not so well thought rules for this neighborhood, they will have many, many more.  And it's though. Viola was so busy with kids, even Zachary had to participate in housework! His poor, fragile masculin

Ranfords, Days 12 - 19: Now With More Bathroom Babies

Note on pregnancy: I turn aging off during pregnancies. This means shorter/somewhat more realistic spacing between children. I sometimes use that method in my regular neighborhood to get kids with small age gap. For Ranfords I decided to that with every single pregnancy. I didn't consider some issues like how slow kids will grow up if aging is turned off so often. Kinda regretting it now, but on the other hand, they will probably end up with more blessings that way.  I also have triplets and q

Ranfords, Days 11 - 12: The Series of Unfortunate Events

Ok, folks,  Reed's birth was huge blessing and all, but Ranfords soon started to worry about Satans shenanigans. Because something was wrong, and it had nothing to do with them or their choices.   First of all, Viola couldnt get pregnant right after giving birth, although Ranfords sure did everything they could about it.  Poor tent can confirm. O.O   Zacahary was devastated. Will Reed reach his toddlerhood without being a big brother? Will Viola end up having less than 10 ch

Ranfords, Days 6 - 10: The Bathroom Baby

What do you do when you are just married and allowed to touch each other for the first time? Ranfords did that. The whole day 6.   At one point their making out and baby makin' activities were RUDELY interrupted by cockroaches. That happens when you annoy people and they kick your trash can, Zachary.  This screenshot also illustrates the state the lot was at this point. Its partly my fault, I had never played with reed spawner in residence lot, only in community ones. I had no i

Ranfords, Day 5: World's Most Awkward Courtship (And FINALLY married)

The events of this day came as surprise to me. I planned to make a wife in CAS. But at least one townie was dumb enough to volunteer as a tribute.  - Zachary got out of his swing when his social bar dropped low again.  He started to chat the with first townie that walked by. And she was different than other heathens. Zach had almost lost a hope to find a girl like that! Cute girl. Almost modestly dressed. Feminine. Didn't tell Zach rude things like that he should find a job. Zach cover

DAYS 2 - 4: Covered in GOOD reeds

Days 2 - 4 were not the most interesting season of Zach's life - but day 5 deserves it's own separate entry, so there.   Zachary started day 2 by cutting yesterdays tree in logs and building a small wall. He then learned his first mechanical skill point to put together an old barrel and some kind of pump. Enjoying his hard-earned shower here. (Sorry, NIKE! picture, but he was so happy ) He explored a forest a bit more and found wild bees. Someday hell be able to steal honey from t

DAY 1: Settling in

Inspired by @singsingsing's blog, I started to play Zachary few days ago. By now he is married and has a kid, but I will post about his journey in separate entries, because othewise it's too long.  - Ranfords, day 1 Meet Zachary. He is generation 2 fundie (well, actually he comes straight from CAS, but dont tell him that), youngest son of alphabetically named quiverfull family. As you see, his name starts with Z, which means that by the time he was born, nobody cared anymore. Strippe

I love baseball but I'm dreading the new season because the White Sox ownership is THE FUCKING WORST. I watched Dominican League Baseball (Lidom!) over the winter and fell in love with their joy, spirit, and exuberance. The broadcasts were in Spanish and my Spanish is pretty weak but I loved catching phrases and repeating them. Bombe! I'm sad about MLB and Commissioner Idiota's busywork rules. But I love baseball, always and forever.
I guess I don't have a point. Just bitching. Te amo mucho, Lidom!

      Happy International Women's Day!

Humanity may have some work to do, to improve gender equality, but I was glad to hear that France has taken an important step to protect healthcare for women (and people of other genders who can get pregnant).

      Giraffe

Feeling ragey this morning. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon in the hope of getting help for an ongoing injury. I went to a (different!!) doctor late last year who completely blew me off. He wouldn't do diagnostic testin, he refused to send me to a specialist, and he just told me to "take it easy" and "take ibuprofen." I'm hopeful for today's appointment but I'm also feeling a SEVERE amount of rage at that doctor from last year!

Well, the rash is back with a vengeance. It never completely cleared up. I saw the derm yesterday and they did another swab and yup, raging infection again, still? It is definitely strep skin infection. I am getting so damn tired and run down from this. Who the f would immagine being hospitalized freaking TWICE for a rash?
