Hi guys!

Yo! Curious added me to the group this morning. I'm so excited to share what I've done with someone!

I figured I would introduce myself first. Hi, I'm Rajah and I'm a doctor. I love to color (duh). I'm very particular about what I color with. I hate crayons (too streaky) and I'm not big on colored pencils ( not a fan of how much work it takes to get a darker color). I much prefer markers. Easy to use, no sharpening, finer tips than colored pencils, and a broader range of colors of shades.

I'm attaching a picture of what I'm currently using. I'm in love with the Tombow dual tip markers that I found on Amazon. Great for thin lines or thicker areas, and they are blendable. I used my Christmas money to splurge for the whole set- 95 different colors plus a blending marker.

Thanks for letting me join y'all!

Welcome, new Minion!

I'm disturbed by this marker information!  I have not heard of them and 95 plus blender seems to be a very exciting number of colours. I'm afraid I won't be able to stop myself from ordering them.

I can't wait to see your posts, @Rajah061014.  Something tells me they will be very pleasing indeed!

Tombow Dual Brush Pen Art Markers,96 Color Set with Desk Stand https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00135HSI8/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_o0RLwbXVQE9VV

Don't buy them from their website. Way cheaper on Amazon, though still pricey compared to most markers. Their website is handy for tips and tricks though. I found a color wheel there so I can keep track of the different colors, since the tops don't match.

They are seriously amazing. You will not regret it if you get them.

Oh I've been eyeing those Tombow markers over on the blick website.  I think I have a couple in my current wishlist to try out, but now that someone has recommended them, I may add a few more.

Do it! I absolutely love them. You can find them in smaller packs of like 8 on Amazon, in various themes, if you don't want to commit to the whole set. But seriously, you'll love them. I'm still learning how to blend them, but already I've done some cool stuff with them.

I've also enjoyed mixing them with the other markers, like my Sharpies and gel pens. The different textures can really make a piece pop.

I picked up a handful of the tombow dual brush tip whatever they are called recently.  I haven't used them much, but I like the little bit I've used them.   My only complaint so far is that they are so dang long.  They are much taller than all my other markers so storing them in my marker tub makes them hide some of the other markers due to height.

For someone who despises dancing, Gary seems to do a lot of quasi-dancing during his sermons. That picture with his arms outstretched bears a strong resemblance to Tevye in a community theater production of Fiddler on the Roof. I wouldn't be surprised if he burst into a rousing chorus of "Tradition!"

A lot of his moves look like he's playing Tevya. I see a bit of "One" from A Chorus Line now and then - imagine if he had a top hat to play with! And sometimes it's just:

Oh yes it’s definitely self published. It’s way too niche to get a big publisher.

I hate no touch courtships so much. People who are getting married are meant to touch each other. It’s natural. Forcing them not to us completely unnatural.

Living with Braggie just in and of itself has to be EXHAUSTING. All the constant manipulation, martyr attitude, attention-seeking, need for validation, raging or barely-restrained verbal attacks when she doesn't get her own way, endless buying and selling... I'm not surprised Shaun spends as much time as he can away from her and from 10 kids he doesn't see as his responsibility.

And I think Ezra has actually caught on, and that's why he's now apprenticing with Shaun. Once Braggie put a stop to brick-and-mortar college (even a local college would have him out of the house for several hours a day), Ezra has looked for the next best option: follow Shaun's example in order to get out from under Braggie's constant drama and the endless child-raising that has become his lot, second son's (can't remember his name) and Della's. He's taken or taking a programming course, so the next thing will be to spend huge chunks of time with Shaun in Shaun's "office" learning stuff, and of course accompanying him in all his travelling. I'll bet he's looking forward to that.

I also think second son is aware of all this, and also aware that he's got a much worse chance of escaping from being Braggie's servant. After all, how many apprentices can Shaun's business sustain? This one's on his own, and, based on stuff Braggie has said on occasion about his attitude, and based on how absolutely over it he looks in every Sunday picture (when he appears; he's missed quite a few), I think he's well aware of how much more difficult he'll have it.

That is a shocking amount of Reddit in-jokes for an actual published book!

You can self-publish anything these days with print-on-demand. I appreciate that someone DID though
