Peacock Landscape Finished!

Here's a rare example of me trying to color a bit more realistically than usual!  I like the way my peacock turned out.   :my_shy:

Copics and Prismas to color and it's from the Peacock Designs book by Creative Haven.  The real page looks better than the photo, but you all know how that goes.

Thank you!  I colored this page with Copic Sketch and Prismacolor markers.

Has anyone noticed that there are two peacocks in the picture?   :my_shy:

1) How could it possibly look better than it does here???

2) I didn't notice the second peacock so I went back to look.

3) I can't find it.

4) it is stunning!!

Update:  I do think I found it, but I'm not 100 % sure. I won't divulge where I think it is in case others wish to look. And, no, I haven't spent the last hour searching.

It's a really beautiful picture.

Thank you very much!  I guess a photo just doesn't get the depth of color in the actual page. If you want to see the second peacock, look along the left side of the Royal Blue frame up to where it turns into an arch and in the corner you will see a tiny blue peacock head peeping into the picture from the side!  It's my favorite thing about the whole page.

Ok, so I hadn't found it!  I thought it was hidden in the main peacock's feathers!!  But, I love the second one. It's so cute!!!  (And seems so easy to see now!)

Where did you think you saw one in the main peacock's feathers?!

It is cute as can be, isn't it?

It is really beautiful!  I'm not ready for markers, may never be, but I can certainly admire the results!

Just above and a bit left of the middle red flower I thought it might be a profile of a head and an eye. You can make it look like that if you're desperate enough!

And, yes, the real one is absolutely adorable!

(On second look, the one I found looks more like a chicken. :562479b0cbc9f_whistle1:)

Hehehe!  I see the one you mean...it does look like a green chicken.

I love it!  Your attempt at realism worked very well.   I didn't see the second peacock until I got to your comment on how to find him.  ADORABLE!

I think I'm going to have to get that book, too.  When I flipped through it I was kinda meh on the designs so decided to wait, but now that I've seen a couple of pages colored, I think I would like it.

Maybe even four peacocks if the feathers on the top still are attached to someone.

Am so glad that you like it!  I like how the big peacock turned out and the little one peeking in from the side is one of the reasons I colored that particular page.  I would like to see how you color a peacock page from that book!

James attended Tiffy's baby shower with his flaky Bates counterpart, Trace.

So have we talked about what MacArthur said lately? He said there’s no such thing as ADHD, OCD, and PTSD. It’s all just big pharma trying to medicate everyone and turn them into drug addict on the streets of LA. I swear he said that. If he had been talking about OxyContin, I wouldn’t have batted an eye. But WTF? How could Jinger listen to this garbage and agree? How does she not see the similarities between MacArthur and Gothard?

Probably because Jeremy actually works directly for MacDaddy. There can't be anything wrong with him, right? 🙄

Could James be courting a Langdon? I know Jason has been linked with Claire, but could it be James? Because he was in Knoxville this weekend per Trace and Lydia's Bates IG's and we know Emma's graduation party from Crown was this weekend per Josie's.

I’m actually not super active or high energy. I love staying in, reading and not having to socialize and talk to people. But I still feel like I need to get out the house at least once per day. Living in a big city it’s not much of an effort either. Going to the supermarket or the bakery is like a 5 minute walk.

I’ve been sick for months between November last year and March this year. It started off as a cold that wouldn’t go away, the cough turned into bronchitis, it kept getting worse until I could hardly walk for 5 minutes and spiked a pretty bad fever for a week and ended up in hospital with pneumonia and broken ribs from all the coughing.

I’m in my early 40s and have never really been sick apart from a cold, so this was a humbling experience. I am almost back to normal now thankfully, but these months really made me appreciate being able to do all the “normal” things. Just being able to go for a walk without having to worry whether I’ll be out of breath, having enough energy for full work days, being able to plan outings again without the thought of “not sure if I’ll be well enough to go” at the back of my mind, it feels so good!

So I guess that’s one reason why I try to get out the house every day - because it simply feels good that I CAN!

Glad you are feeling better. I have had breathing problems since December.  I had a mild heart attack at the end of January. I'm recovered from the heart attack, but im still having breathing problems. I have to get a pacemaker. I'm hoping that helps my breathing.
