Spiceworks and FJ - my world's are colliding and I couldn't be happier!

Just got my first ad for Spiceworks on FJ a few minutes ago which made me grin like an idiot.

Kind of a waste of an ad since I already love and use Spiceworks daily (and have for years) and I don't need the sell...but I love when I see ads for stuff I personally endorse.  Which I am sure means loads to the 3 people reading this.

Spiceworks is an excellent IT community with great apps which help IT people manage their networks, etc.  Software which is free - still baffled by that since I'd happily pay for it.

Anyway I am in no way affiliated with them except as a customer/user - just gave me a doubletake as I had Spiceworks open in another window when the ad popped up and for a second I didn't know why they were talking about fundies. :)

Aren't the ads targeted? I assume that's why you'd get one for something you like :) I must have an adblocker on because I don't get any.

I don't have ad blocker or anything...must do that...and my ads are nearly always something I've been googling.  Currently glass vases and holiday websites.

I don't use ad blocker, because I visit a couple sites frequently and if I get a lot out of a free site and enjoy going there I want them to get my ad revenue.  I'm not telling anyone else what to do - but I know ads help pay for bandwidth and like on youtube my favorite youtube channels...I want them to keep making content and if the ads allow them to do that it works for me.  I'm lazy and I like being able to support things without effort or money. :)

I was just surprised as I'd never seen it before.  And sometimes my ads are targeted and sometimes totally random.  Unless the ads know something about me I don't and want me to go to a Christian university, visit Israel, open a Sbarro franchise, and buy teething rings which have been my most frequent lately.

I don't think those ads know I'm long done with school, broke, and everyone I know already has all their teeth!

So spice works has nothing to do with cooking?

No, it's an IT forum.  But our levels over there for upvotes are peppers on the capsaicin scale.

Pennsylvanian man wants in on the action with his 25,000 bags of heroin

      Quote

According to a criminal complaint, Ydale Thomas, 35, was behind the wheel of a Ford Explorer when it was pulled over for traffic infractions late last year by a state trooper patrolling I-76.

Thomas claimed he was returning home to the Pittsburgh area after having driven earlier that day to Philadelphia, where he had purportedly sold a dog to a man at a gas station.

The trooper concluded that Thomas was being “deceptive.”

The affidavit contends that, “It cannot be overstated that Philadelphia, PA is a source location for the distribution of narcotics, and a regional epicenter for all criminal activity” and is “a hotbed for wholesale narcotics trafficking stash houses.”

It’s easier to justify overbuying when you pretend lie every purchase was a major bargain.

Also -- I think Braggie is too lazy/ unconcerned about toilet training the "twinbies".  I suspect one of the older BroDads/ SisMoms will decide soon to do it themselves because they are tired of cleaning up poopy diapers, etc. I don't believe for a nano second Braggie does it herself.

I don't think it's a genuine MCM. I think it's an imitation. A $6000 piece of forniture in perfect shape is not sold for $500. Yes, sometimes this happens, but I suspect Abbie is lying to appear as the smartest buyer. She is noot overspending, she is nooot spoiled, she is investing!

Either it’s not genuine (anyone remember the “apothecary table” from Friends 😂), or she paid a lot more than she admitted. It’s easier to justify overbuying when you pretend every purchase was a major bargain.

That baby looks huge to be a newborn. But my newborn also currently wears preemie and only weights 6 pounds even tho was born at 38 weeks
