I love the bright colors you use so much.  You are making it REALLY hard for me not to buy a bunch of prismacolor markers.

Aw, man...I would love nice markers that don't leave lines. But I am too cheap...haha.

I got frustrated with the coloring process and result when I was using Pentel markers. The tips were shredding/pilling immediately and the colors weren't smooth and it was not pleasant to color with them so even though they were inexpensive, I couldn't keep using them. Got some of the Prismacolors on sale at Amazon and some at my local Michael's store at $6.00 per marker, but didn't buy that many of them. It's worth it to have good markers!   :my_shy:

If I ever start coloring more, it may be worth it. But right now, I only color a few minutes at a time. I've been working on the same (pretty awful looking) picture since August.

@ClaraOswin, you're spending your days taking care of a young child. Good for you for doing something you like for a few minutes at a time. I started coloring a picture we got for free at the fair 1 1/2 years ago, but I can't remember the last time I got it out. Most of my "me time" is digital these days.

Yeah, I mostly go on FJ during my free time. :) My RA has been keeping me from coloring. Typing on the computer doesn't hurt much at all though usually. Though I am almost done with my August picture. Maybe I will scan/post when it even though it's not great.

My FJ time is all on my phone and a lot of it is in the dark, after the rest of the family is asleep. I hope you are getting good help for your RA. My grandma had RA back in the 70's and 80's. She never seemed to respond much to any of the "new" medications they tried, but hopefully there are better drugs now.

I would probably never scan in my fair picture when it's finished, because I would give away where I live. I'm still feeling a bit shy about sharing too much personal info online. Plus, everyone loves to make fun of my home state. :my_blush:

The Bates family members seemed so excited about the engagement, but I wonder how many of them were actually able to make it to the wedding. Katie just had her baby, so I’m thinking some of the sisters are helping out with that.  I think Trace is still in Hawaii unless they just got back. Jason and Jackson B worked together so maybe he came up for it. I’m guessing most of the youngers, Warden on down, were there, along with Gil and Kelly. We have the one pic of Addie there. Maybe the MedicCorps guys,Nathan and Lawson, swung over for the night from NC.

Trace is In Hawaii, I didn't see anything about that.

From the last thread in @thoughtful's recap:

Almost as an afterthought, he mentions that they were worried about their daughter and son-in-law during the hurricane, and how they couldn't get in touch, then limply finishes "Mah wahf talked to mah daughter today - our daughter today - a little bit - but, um - (long pause) ah would think - ah would think about this because we're soon gittin' outta here, an' it's not gonna be long."

First he says "my daughter" then he realizes that he's given himself away and says "our daughter".  Yeah, Gary.  We know you were married before and that you are less than honest about it.  At least try to lie better.

      I'm so glad you noticed.

He would have been just fine leaving it at "my daughter" - he was alone in the truck, not speaking for Becky. Lots of parents would say "my" kid, when the other parent isn't present at the moment,  without a second thought. It's the fact that he felt the need to correct it that I noticed.

Definitely not wild about the ballooning sleeves on her dress. It makes the dress look like it's too big for her (even though the dress is fitted in the midsection) and it's wearing her instead of her wearing the dress. Maybe it shouldn't have had such a full skirt plus the full sleeves?
