Welcome to FJ Colorists Unite

Welcome to the new Free Jinger blog by members for members.   We have a pretty enthusiastic group of colorists here on FJ and after seeing the interest in coloring and talking to a few members, I decided to start this blog for members to post on rather than putting their own coloring projects in comments on my (mostly) coloring blog or various threads where they may get lost.

This blog is for anyone that colors to post their finished pages, works-in-progress, tips, ask for help or really anything color related.

If you'd like permission to post on this blog, post a comment or shoot me a PM and I'll get you set up.

I've added you to the group.  You should see it in your blog list now.  Welcome aboard :)

My latest completion... The lighting was messed up; both sides are actually the same colors. This is from Joanna Basford, 'Lost Ocean.' It was released this week.

I added you to the new group.  I would suggest you repost this actually on the new blog.   Click on blogs and pick make entry and it will bring up the box for you to post in :)

If you have questions/problems we have an FAQ devoted to blogs and I'm happy to answer questions.

I should not post when I'm not fully awake.  I thought I was on a different blog since I made similar posts in like 3 places.

What I really meant was you should make your picture it's own post on this blog, rather than having it buried in the comments.

do yyou mind sharing what you used to color this? I don't mean brand, unless you want to share that, just the type of coloring instrument (pencils, crayons, markers, etc.).

@CallmeChaCha not at all! I used Fiskar's gel pens. I have the 48 pack. I believe they're best sellers on Amazon.

I was trying to upload my latest coloring effort, but when I hit the "Add Blog Entry" or whatever it says, the window  comes up with the previous picture of my King Cat page already attached to it. Why is that happening?  I don't want to upload that one again. Shouldn't the window be blank when I'm trying to put a new photo up so I can attach it by itself?

I didn't know where to post these, so I'll add them here. Thanks to @Fascinated for noting the coloring app she uses. Although I didn't find that particular one, I found a few others. Okay, that's not true, I found a LOT of them but only downloaded two: "Colorfy" and "Coloring - Mandala HD" and I did one picture in each app.

For the Mandala, I only used 4 colors, and for each set of 4 I went darker, starting from the center.

All of these are very pretty. Here are a couple more I did recently.  I used softer colours in the Alahambra. I might have mistakes in these but I like them.

@Fascinated @CallmeChaCha

You both should be able to post to the blog now.

Thanks!! I didnt think I'd be doing so many of these. I really like it! Maybe one day I'll do some for-real coloring with pencils and such. :D

I would love to join the blog! Seeing all of everyone's pictures makes me realize how slow I am! My pictures will be more infrequent than many. I love seeing everyone else's, and getting tons of new product suggestions!

I need some advice for medium tip markers to go with my Staedtler. I have gel pens but can't control the flow of ink.

I’m always fascinated when someone who was raised not religious & becomes extremely religious. I know 2 people who were raised not very religious Jewish & became very religious.

I was raised atheist and became very religious in my teens. I was a deep thinking philosophical kid with big emotions, cracking under the pressure of adolescence in an extremely academic environment; Christianity offered me something to help answer the 'why' of it all (although even then, I always believed in the scientific account of the 'how'). I am also - although I didn't understand or have the label for it then - asexual, and the whole notion of no-sex-before-marriage was oddly reassuring to me, like a 'safe' way to date and fall in love with church boys who weren't supposed to want to touch me sexually (spoiler alert: they still did). While I was at university I worked for a Christian organisation and led the youth group at my church, then I got married and moved to a country town where I knew nobody, and the church community was my first 'in' into the community. I was a stay-at-home mother who spent my days going to church playgroup or hosting bible study with other stay-at-home mothers. Regardless of what's happening inside or what your private prayer life is like, when your social group is all religious it helps keep you religious. It's only in the past few years, with my kids all at school, my divorce finalised, working in secular arts organisations, plus time on more forums like this, that I've become a much more liberal Christian who doesn't let it dictate my entire life.

Yeah, the conclusion states that writ SHOULD BE denied. This is the Fed's response to The Felons plea. Remember, they were granted an extension until 5/24, so this makes sense.
