Picture of the Day ~ 11.06.15
I hadn't decided whether or not I was going to post this page, but since so many of you feel like you can't color or will screw it up, I decided to share this.
This was essentially a tessellation with no particular design already laid out. To me I saw "flowers" so that's how I decided to color it. Now that it's colored I actually see other possibilities, but the flowers were what jumped out to me initially. I was coloring this in the car on the way to a dr. appt. and somehow managed to get off by a block.
I started with the light purple flower that is roughly in the center. Then I went to the purple ones on either side, the blue one to the right and then I started on the row below that with the red, pink, purple one and came around to do the blue one above it. That is where I made my error and I didn't catch it until after the teal and green ones.
When I found the error I was pretty frustrated because if it had just been the one blue flower it would have been easier to fix. My husband suggested the black diamonds to try and make it look like "blank" space. That sounded good in theory, but I don't like it in action. On the next row, to correct things, I just did the "petals" that would have been done if I hadn't made the error and got back on track. I think those fixes look much better and are less noticeable than the black, so I learned something.
I still have fun with this page, even though I messed it up and that is the important thing. You really can't color something "wrong" because however you color something is the way it should be .
