Early Morning Thor

As self appointed bathroom guardian, Thor makes sure the wet litter boxes don't take us each time we go in the little room.

Hoomans can't bathe or hunt properly, we need all the help we can get. As @feministxtian put it, we need poopervisors! As well as bathavisors, & TVwatchavisors... all kinds of avisors.... He even helps me brush my teefs and acts as bed quality control!

I brought my boss's dog to Mom's house for a visit last weekend, & she felt the same need to assist with dinner preparations. (And she did get a few treats for being such a good supervisor, too.)   ;)

@catlady, is your fur baby a Newfie, by any chance?  S/he's gorgeous!

Hi!  No, he's what we call a defective* black lab. His parents were purebreds, but about a fourth of their puppies ended up with shaggy gray fur (the owners said it was due to recessive genes).  It's interesting that you ask if he's a Newfie; we had the same question a dozen times when he was really young. I hadn't been familiar with the breed, so I googled it and found pictures of Newfie puppies. My Kingsford looked exactly like one until he was about four months old; after that, his Lab traits began showing more.

*by defective, we mean that in addition to not having short shiny jet black hair, he has webbed feet but refuses to swim, and despite being a Retriever he won't stoop to fetching. Yep, our baby is full of quirks.

@catlady,  Kingsford sounds like a wonderful dog!  I love the quirky  ones.

Both the Lab and the Newfie have the St John's water dog as an ancestor.
