Baby Birdies came out to play!

Yay, the baby birdies at my mum and dad's came out for the first time today. I missed the first 3 but managed to get there in time for the 4th to come out. First pic is mum calling baby out of the nest. Second pic is mum trying to coax baby out. Third pic is baby looking right at me. Fourth pic is baby in a bush after it was brave enough to fly for the first time. The pictures do not show just how teeny tiny the baby birds are, when I left my mum and dad's there were at least 2 or more babies still in the nest. We looked online and found that the babies will stay with their parents for 2 weeks after they first leave the nest then all the birds will leave and not come back :-( I hope to be able to see them a couple more times before then and try and get some more pictures.

Oh, how exciting!  What species are they?!  :tw_love:

The speed at which birds grow just absolutely astounds me.

They are Blue Tit's @SpoonfulOSugar, the parents started building the nest in the bird box in April so it is very fast growth!

Thanks @Tikobaby, I'm so pleased I was able to be there and get some pictures of them, I only go to my parent's twice a week so thought there would be no chance of seeing them. I sat in the garden for 2hrs just watching the bird box and taking as many pictures as possible, think I ended up with 15 or so pics and only 2 or 3 were dud's!

I do a lot of backyard bird photography and I know it can be tricky to get those good shots. Takes time and patience. Am so glad you got some!  Love seeing different birds and I've never seen your birds in real life.  Hope you're able to get a few more shots before they've grown up and left the nest.   :bird::bird::bird:

This could go in several threads but here is a website that tracks pastor planes from various mega-churches & Christian organizations, like SP, BJU & LU. They post daily maps on IG and Xitter.

I’m pretty far left when it comes to social supports.  I believe in the value of UBI in creating safer, healthier, better educated communities.  I think the threshold for disability payments should be lower and I think that rich people should pay a ton in taxes. Bring back the death tax.

But these two confound me.  They don’t seem to feel the need to contribute at all.  And that isn’t how it works.  Relationships need both withdrawals and deposits.  They take a lot of financial withdrawals, but I don’t see evidence of any kind of deposits.  Pie making aside….

Regarding the IG post: They are not describing marriage, they are describing a young couple  first vacation, specially exciting because it's their first sex experience. What they are describing is a very usual experience for non married young people, with the difference that others can break if it's not working, while fundies must stay no matter what.

Shoshanna mocks and threatens people who are asking if she trains her kids according to her parent's teachings -- and the next IG story is Lauren and Shoshanna talking more smack about the comments she received.

Saw that and it's pretty disgusting. Either Shoshanna is really fucking stupid or lying through her gaslighting teeth. Guessing the latter which means she knows exactly what that commenter is talking about. Also going to guess that in fact she has used her parentsʻ methods of repetitive & sustained child beating as well as blanket training. Would like to know if any of this got highlighted in her divorce.

Honestly she’s always been a self centered asshole. So none of this is surprising. She’s one of the many fundie princesses of fundieland. I bet her older sisters secretly resent her.

The Pearl family dynamics are quite something. Wouldn't surprise me if Shoshanna is the golden child who has always been favored & allowed to do what she wants with no repercussions.

I always figured if there was a Bates Duggar pairing, it would be the younger kids. I think the older kids kind of grew up together in their insular IBLP world and I figured they just weren’t attracted to each other. Because they probably spent as much time together like cousins. But the families don’t seem to spend as much time together as they used to. So I don’t know if all the youngest Bates and Duggar kids feel like they are almost like family.

Yes, now there's no pressure towards that. TLC pushed for a Duggar-Bates inter-marriage and even edited the show accordingly; whenever John-David was near Erin they milked it. But now, the youngest kids COULD connect in that way. Or maybe even one of the Bates sons with Mackynzie.......Judson is only one year younger. But by then we may never know anyway.
