This one turned out kinda trippy.

In other news, I'm the proud new owner of 60 prismacolour scholar pencils. I've been using Faber Castell watercolour pencils, which I really like, but I'm looking forward to trying out the new ones. I was looking for decent pencils with lots of different shades that wouldn't break the bank, and the prismacolours had good reviews. We shall see.

That is amazing, it would take me months to color it!  I have prismacolor pencils but I don't know what kind they are; I put the ones that I was bringing to the office in one of those rollup things and did away with the box.  I'll have to see if there is a difference between that and what I have.  Of course, since I only seem to have time to color late at night, it wouldn't really matter what I was using.

This is beautiful! I believe I colored the same pages in Prismacolor! I'm not sure if I posted them, though.

Thanks everyone, honestly if it looks good it's because Johanna Basford is amazing! And just so everyone knows, this one (along with the others I've posted) was coloured using the Fabel Castell watercolour pencils. The next one will be coloured using the prismacolours. And the reason I finished it so fast is because I'm unemployed and my winter boots were in for repair, so I spent a lot of time at home over the past week or so. :my_cool:

Oh I really like this one.  I love the pink/purple trees.   I've recently started branching out (see what I did there? ) regarding leaf coloring after seeing what other folks have done.   I'm so. over. tons. of. GREEN. leaves!

Another one teasing with the prismacolor scholars *sigh*

This is so beautiful!  Like Curious, I am completely and utterly green-leaved out. And this artist is torturing us, in all of her beautiful books, with the plethora of leaves, is she not?  I love how you've coloured them. Absolutely gorgeous picture!

On the plus side, that’s an extremely cute picture of her daughter.

But - “I work alongside them from the time they are tiny?” Allison, they’re still tiny. They haven’t even hit kindergarten age. I also have nothing against chores or teaching kids skills. But that’s a lot of work for a couple of kids whose combined ages don’t equal 6. Let them be kids occasionally.

Yes, they are 1 and 2! They are still babies in my head.

Starting them young with chores. This is a family trait. Amish start young when it comes to child labor. I’m not shaming her for teaching her children. I’m not even against chores. However I know where this is headed. Allison will end up with a ton of kids and these two oldest will be doing so much work by the time they are 9 and 10. I feel bad for their future.

Does anyone know why the Roberts family has a daughter named Marty and another daughter named Martha?

Some fundie families reuse names. They also have a son named Edgar Ashburn. And then have a younger son named Ashburn. Chris Maxwell reused a name on his daughters. His older daughter is Ruthann Elizabeth and his younger daughter is Elizabeth Grace. The Campanas did this as well. They have a son Nicholas Frank and then another son named Frankie. They also have multiple daughters with a version of Mary in their name. They have Mariah, Gabriella Mary, and Gracia Marie. I think fundies run out of ideas and just reuse names they like.
