Mystical Mandalas

Okay, so I found a book I forgot about.  And apparently I did/started two of the pictures in it.  Which I may or may not remember doing.  This is from Mystical Mandala Coloring Book (Dover Design Coloring Books, Alberta Hutchinson).  I did sort of remember the bird one.  Actually I think I stopped working on the birds (which comes in the book before the other one which was more or less finished as you see it) because quite frankly, I find the birds a bit creepy.  They don't give a vibe of being happy birds.  I did feel compelled to make an effort at quickly finishing the bird picture.  So there is a photo as I found it partially finished and then one with my finished work.    Done with my trusty Twistables.

The birds do look like they're rather tired after a battle with bags under their eyes, and it looks like ruffled feathers on their wings. Maybe they had to fight for the crowns.

It reminds me of a design in an ancient Roman mosaic floor.

I really like the one with the flowers!  I am finding that there are quite a few pictures that just aren't what I want to work on, so I move on to another one.

I love the soft colors in the first one.  So pretty!

I agree, those birds are a bit scary.  They look like they are all upset about something.

She was 30 and they'd met in 2009. That's 15 years ago -- looks like grooming to me.  They were married in 2017. It's very suspicious that he announced her death and then asked the congregation not to discuss it in the church.

I will not be at all surprised if it's revealed he hired someone to kill her.

Even less than not surprised at all if a new very young fiancee appears in a couple of months.

If they can make graphics for social media, assemble fundraisers, and bake pies they can get some kind of employment. The stress of all of this scrambling for cash has got to be more stressful than many jobs!

But they can't handle deadlines according to Artemis. Someone suggested a WFH job and they said that in addition to not paying enough, they wouldn't be able to guarantee meeting deadlines all the time. Which is an excuse IMO, and I struggle with ADHD. Life is about deadlines and meeting those deadlines. They can certainly make sure their "needs are met" when they have a bill payment deadline. So why couldn't they deal with a deadline from an employer? It's easy. They don't want a job.

A few years ago they got into the "anti-work" movement and have been obsessed ever since. They've been involved with people who were on SSI disability and decided that since they have some aches and pains from helping raise their younger siblings they deserve disability and are going after it.

Don't get me wrong, I feel like a universal basic income would be wonderful and that we do have problems in our capitalist system, but deciding it's easier to beg for money and not do anything constructive with life is not the answer. Not knowing if you'll be able to scrape together enough money for laundry and face wash has to be more stressful than getting a 40 hour a week job dealing with customers over the phone for $17/hour and benefits. But for whatever reason they have decided this is the way to go, which is sad and infuriating. They need some mental health assistance because there's a strange codependency going on with Ryann and thinking the world owes them a living is entitled.

Jinger is oblique, but I she called out treating women as "birthing machines."  I think we have an answer on her preferring a small family.
