This is from a book my husband bought for me (pics to follow).

Challenge #1: the artist's drawing style makes it very difficult to figure out what's what.

Challenge #2: I didn't want to leave any white space so I used some pale, washed-out colours to suggest white buildings. I took liberties with colour but still wanted it to have the right flavour, if you know what I mean.  Most of this is Prisma markers.

This is the book and an example of most of the pages' detail. This particular page is San Francisco.

Very pretty coloring!  That last page looks far too tiny & detailed for me. Are you going to give it a try?

That will take some patience!  When you have it done, bring it back and show it to us, please.  If you decide to let it go for a  while, we will all understand that, too.

You are a braver woman than I.  I bow to your ability to handle tiny, intricate designs.

I’m not there yet. And I’m to the point where I need to go every 4 weeks- not 1 day more. It is the 1 luxury that I hang onto. No housekeeper, no mani/pedis except when I go to So America where I can get both done, at home, for $20 bucks- same for massages.

Oh I would totally not be there yet either had the allergy not occurred. I am embarrassed to admit this but I still dyed my hair a few times even after I knew I was allergic. I would deal with the insane redness and itching for days. The last time, my face swelled up and that scared me enough to stop. Otherwise I would still be getting my hair done.

She was 30 and they'd met in 2009. That's 15 years ago -- looks like grooming to me.  They were married in 2017. It's very suspicious that he announced her death and then asked the congregation not to discuss it in the church.

I will not be at all surprised if it's revealed he hired someone to kill her.

Even less than not surprised at all if a new very young fiancee appears in a couple of months.

If they can make graphics for social media, assemble fundraisers, and bake pies they can get some kind of employment. The stress of all of this scrambling for cash has got to be more stressful than many jobs!

But they can't handle deadlines according to Artemis. Someone suggested a WFH job and they said that in addition to not paying enough, they wouldn't be able to guarantee meeting deadlines all the time. Which is an excuse IMO, and I struggle with ADHD. Life is about deadlines and meeting those deadlines. They can certainly make sure their "needs are met" when they have a bill payment deadline. So why couldn't they deal with a deadline from an employer? It's easy. They don't want a job.

A few years ago they got into the "anti-work" movement and have been obsessed ever since. They've been involved with people who were on SSI disability and decided that since they have some aches and pains from helping raise their younger siblings they deserve disability and are going after it.

Don't get me wrong, I feel like a universal basic income would be wonderful and that we do have problems in our capitalist system, but deciding it's easier to beg for money and not do anything constructive with life is not the answer. Not knowing if you'll be able to scrape together enough money for laundry and face wash has to be more stressful than getting a 40 hour a week job dealing with customers over the phone for $17/hour and benefits. But for whatever reason they have decided this is the way to go, which is sad and infuriating. They need some mental health assistance because there's a strange codependency going on with Ryann and thinking the world owes them a living is entitled.
