Yoga Kitty

ShesCrafty

Here's my latest page that I've managed to finish. I actually really like this book, the pictures aren't difficult but it's cats doing yoga! I can't resist.

I colored this with my trusty gel pens but I'm getting jealous of the fancy markers everyone else has and am going to break down and buy some. I've heard Prismacolor, Copic, and Windsor & Newton being used by people here. Any advice to a newbie on which is best? I do like a really fine tip.

Super cute!  Like the colors you used.  :my_shy:

I have a set of Staedtler triplus fineliners that I use for real small or narrow spaces. The Prisma brush tips also have a bullet end that can be used with a light hand in small areas and the Copic brush tip has a narrow tip that will do fine work if you are steady and careful. My Winsor & Newton ProMarkers have a nice bullet tip, but the ones I have tend to be pretty "juicy" and the color spreads quickly so tiny areas may get a color over run unless you really are light-handed.  These are the only markers I've used so far so I'm sure other colorists will have suggestions based on what they have.  Oh, I have a small set of Prismacolor  Premier Fine Line markers coming from Amazon.  Am hoping for a quality fine line from them!   :marker:

Aw, the yoga kitty is so cute!  I love everything about it!

I have nothing to add to Tikobaby's comments regarding markers. I only have gel pens (which are now dry actually) and the Prismacolour markers. But I'm going to get some of the other brands, too. And, definitely some finer tips!

Butterflies!  You can never go wrong with butterflies :)   This page is adorable.  You've done a great job on it.

Regarding markers, I'm of the opinion that any of the "artist grade" type markers are worth getting.   I have some of the blick brand and they are just as nice as the prismacolor/copic/w&n, IMO.

I discovered a new (to me) brand on blick, so I tossed a few of those on my wishlist to give a try.

Thanks everyone, for the compliments and marker tips! I got an Amazon gift card for Xmas, I think I'll use it to take the plunge and buy some markers:marker:

But where do they wash their hands after taking money and before handing over open, unwrapped food? How does the department of health track down who donated the Salmonella pie, if they aren't required to keep a list of who donated what product? How do the volunteers keep the open and unwrapped food from being contaminated by nonfood materials if it's just sitting on a table in a gym or in a parking lot.

Any I have been to in Germany and New Zealand had one person handling the cash and other people serving. Plus power and hand washing facilities. Usually with a few tables and chairs right next to the sale area to sit and eat immediately.
Plus all the ones in Germany I saw had display cabinets for the products like in cafes. I think the ones in NZ usually had insect shields and/or see through lids and weren’t right at the front edge of the table.

They have a “champagne lifestyle” on OTHER peoples “beer budget”

“Champagne wants” is probably a better word than lifestyle, though the fact that they demand it and insist on being entitled to it makes it more than a want in my eyes. 🤷‍♀️

Thankfully they've decided not to sell baked goods. Apparently because someone told them how they needed a cottage food license and also because they don't know if they would be able to make all the pies.

It couldn't possibly be because people have figured out that they are do nothing, perpetually whining grifters.  Oh no, not them.

John MacArthur is being John MacArthur. The most concerning part of this is that there's a huge nouthetic counseling school run at Masters University.

The guy sitting next to him staring grimly is Costi Hinn who folded like a wet paper towel when he questioned Doug Wilson about all his sex abuse scandals. One wonders if he might still have a little PTSD from Doug doxxing him.

JMac has long been skeptical of mental illness and mental health treatment, but this seems more extreme (disinhibited?) even by his own very low standards.

There is a theory out there that the meteoric rise of tradwives on social media tracks with the overturning of Roe V Wade. The idea being that once abortion rights were overturned, pro-life people became increasingly emboldened.

I wonder what is motivating him here. The student protests? The coming election? Distraction from another brewing scandal within his church?

JMac is one of the top 5 fundies that personally piss me off, but I will concede the man is very smart. He knows the blowback is coming.
