Brown Celtic Knots

This one is in Crayola Pipsqueaks I believe the colors were Sepia, something mustard, melon and raw sienna.  From the Celtic Knot work and kaleidoscopes book.    I considered using a dark green on the borders but liked the sepia/mustard/melon tones so much I used raw sienna instead.  and the background is left undone intentionally because I thought it would have gotten overly busy (and I don't always feel compelled to do backgrounds).  I did this one at work over a series of lunch periods - started before Christmas.

Wow.  I love it. I followed the pattern around - I might have been confused as to what belonged with what. I never know whether to do the background. I have a couple of times, but am usually afraid of ruining the page with a bad background decision!

Honestly, I had the mustard marker in my hand.  Picked a spot and saw where it took me.  I have fun with patterns like this because I kind of mentally get lost just following where it goes.  Then when I see the pattern pop out to me a bit more I can make decisions from there.  There's also no worry about keping things realistic  or not.

Beautiful.  I think it looks great with the background left plain.

I have seen those pipsqueak markers, but never really considered them.  I don't think I have any crayola markers except for the "special" sets like metallic, glitter, etc.

I am really lacking in nice browns/neutral colors and the colors you used are really great.  I guess I will pick up the pipsqueaks next time we hit Michael's.

They're nice for work because the crayolas are washable and then I don't wander the office with marker on the side of my hand.

I've never done that *cough*    Last week or 2 weeks ago, I happened to look down at my hand and not only was the side all glittery, but several fingers had a rainbow of various colors on them.

I liked this so much i was going to buy the large pipsqueaks pack. Thankfully i tested the fit in my hands first and they were way too small. I have pretty small hands to begin with so i don't really understand how everyone else is able to use them.  I ended up settling for the 50 ct. Crayola fine line markers.

I consider myself to be on a Crayola budget. I don't make pictures to frame or anything so i can't justify spending so much on markers and pens.  By sticking with Crayola I can get a lot of different sets of pens/pencils for what i would have to spend on fancier sets.

they are small.  As in both short and narrow.  I also have small hands & fingers.  But then I write and color with my nose (as in face very close to desk/page)  and a death grip on anything I write/color with.  Always have.

I ended up buying the pipsqueak skinnies.  I'm not sure how I feel about them.  It seems like a couple that I used were already drying up after only one page (and not even used on the whole page).   I am still giving them a chance, but I probably won't rebuy if I find more that seem to dry out really fast.

Joy posted a video about Gunner choking on a piece ham and rushing him the hospital. He had already thrown up before leaving for the hospital, but he seemed so out of it, they thought something still might be wrong. They were at Austin’s parents’ camp so they were an hour away from a hospital, so that’s why they didn’t call an ambulance. He’s fine now.

This fundie dad tried to have the bio parents of 5 of his kids killed because they were becoming a problem. I hate how this article makes this fundie couple out to be these perfect Christian savior parents.

They have raised $1736.00 and Art still says they need more money for vet care and shipping.  $1736 seems like it should be enough to move them and, if they cannot afford to care for their cats, they should give them to someone who can.  They cannot even support themselves, let alone pets.

Have we seen/heard from JB much lately? Maybe he's just losing his grip on ALL of the cult.

I tend to think Jason doesn't GAF what JB thinks of his girlfriend's modesty standards and after the past few years he's probably figured out JB can't tell a 24 year old man who he is and isn't allowed to date.

If I have the right girl, it appears that her mother is an educator with advanced degrees and her dad was on the school board. It looks like this family is actually invested in public education. I hope this means Jason’s future kids might get to go to school.

Even if they do homeschool, it'd be night and day from how the Duggar kids were taught. If she finishes her education degree then she'll likely be a capable teacher, whether she teaches a class full of public school kids or her own brood.

Now that I'm at the end of the interview, I thought it was particularly interesting that Jinger particularly refuses to name Josh but instead says "my parents named my oldest brother with a J name and then had Jana and John David".  The question was about the J theme.  She also talked about how writing the first book was hard since she knew it was distance family members but she felt it was necessary since she wanted her siblings as well as the general public to see her disavow Gothard.  She said that she purposefully distanced from the system and not her parents to reduce the possible blow back from family members.
