My first colored picture

Like I said, I color by lamplight, sitting on my bed, at night.  This is the first one I have done, my daughter says it's better than I think it is.

I hope I've done this right.

So pretty.  I've been following all the coloring with great interest!  How long did it take you to do this one?

It took probably a couple of weeks, because I only do it for a little while at night.  I take a sleeping pill every night, and I have discovered that it works better if I get away from technology; I can't read, because I forget what I read and have to back up a chapter or three.

I agree with the above. I love the color choices, especially those peachy tones and the light greens. Good job!

Great job for your first post.  I like the colors you've used here.  I really like the center flower.

I want to color. Where do I start?

Well if you don't want to spend a lot of money until you find out if you like it, I'd suggest free coloring pages you print off the internet and a relatively inexpensive set of colored pencils (I recommend rose art, craZ art or scholar)

If you want to jump in with both feet, then just pick a coloring book that you like (there are tons on amazon and places like Michael's and A.C. Moore sell them.  Our walmart even has a small selection now).   Pick up some gel pens and/or colored pencils and just start coloring!

I have some reviews of different coloring supplies on my blog.  If you click on "coloring supplies) the tag cloud on the main page, it will bring up all the entries for you.

If you have any specific questions just ask and someone will be along to answer you :)   If you start coloring and want to be added to this blog, just let me know!

I'm always impressed with yellows as its a hard colour to see when taking a pic.

Lovely first effort I have to say and nice blend of colours too

And now, after all this time, I see a "swirl" that I missed.  Oh well.

But thank you all for the compliments.  It's very calming.
