Not So Blue

Okay, so when I started this one, I was thinking... BLUE, I like Blue today.  Blue is speaking to me.  And then once I started in the middle with blue discovered that my Crayola Twistables 30 count has exactly 2 shades of blue.  Very close together.  I could probably forgive the only 2 blues if one had been something like navy.  But no.  Two middle blues.  So in progress I altered the plan and went with colors to compliment the blue.  RE the purple in the lower corners - I thought the pattern on top and bottom matched and was going to do the reddish color on the top to offset.  (meaning I did the middle, then the part around the middle.  Then the bottom and then the top).  I didn't realize that they were different until I began coloring in the top.  Not a mistake - just an observation about my ability (or lack thereof) to pick up patterns in uncolored work sometimes.

Can you remind me which book I don't need this is from please?   I like the way you've done it.   You definitely need more colors than the twistables.   I found a really nice set of Stadelar (I think...maybe Sargent) for $5.99 at staples last week.

BTW, Staples also has a nice set of ultra fine sharpies on sale for $10, regularly like $18.   I had the fine line set already, but I picked up the ultra fine set for $10 because sharpies are a bit wide for detail work.

I had to really look to figure out what was different at the top and bottom.  I finally figured it out, but I would have thought they were the same when looking at it to color, as well.

this one. (which I refer to as my work coloring book)
Celtic Knotwork & Kaleidoscope Coloring Book

I have the book listed as II at home.

I have others at home.  Twistables are just easy to keep at the office.  I like to color during lunch (or when I first get here for a few minutes like I did this morning after a 35 - 40 minute drive through rain)

Thanks for the link.  I've added it to my ever growing wish list :)

I have migrated a box of 24 crayons (I bought them for my mom in hopes that maybe coloring would connect her to something.  No interest.  I hate dementia) and a box of 64 crayola washable pip squeak markers I had at home to the office.  Although the crayola markers are heinously out of sync with the outside and the color names tell you little at times about the actual color (one has a yellow cap, goes on a nice shade of orange).

That is my one pet peeve about all coloring tools.  Why can't the outside match the color it actually colors?  I have "yellows" that are anywhere from florescent yellow to orange to gold.

I've learned to keep a scratch pad with me and make a little scribble if color matters.

Crayola seems to be one of the worst offenders.  I really like the products, but I've learned to always test the color before actually using it.

I think Braggie refuses to pay for college, does not encourage college which in turn lets the children know exactly what’s expected of them.

Once Braggie put a stop to brick-and-mortar college (even a local college would have him out of the house for several hours a day),

Did she actually post she forbid Ezra to go to college?  I don't recall seeing this.

My hope is that Ezra will go on his own (run Ezra run), because he realizes he needs a degree to be taken seriously as an IT professional.

My concern for him is that if it's merely apprenticeship/ working with Shaun that Ezra goes from BroDad to Breadwinner#2. Still stuck at home, still carrying the parenting load, but now it's supporting the family.

There is absolutely no way Braggie would let him keep any of the money he earns. Not when there's Anthro on sale.

I see Ezra's actions quite differently. I think he is 100% dutiful child and following along with exactly what his parents want. I see zero evidence of him rebelling or even noticing that he is limited. I doubt he even looked at going to college. Until he truly wants something that his parents won't allow or gets more time out of his bubble, he looks ready to follow exactly what Abbie plans for him.

For Simon, we see him less with the little kids than Ezra. Abbie sometimes talks about his cooking, but it's been ages since they did a dance video and she doesn't feature Simon very often. He's only 15, right? so he still has a little bit to go before we will find out what's next for him.

The way she's phrased it is she's teaching her how to run a house, at an age where most are learning to dress themselves. I really hope it is poor phrasing.

Lots of children want to help mommy and daddy around the house and kids learn by imitating other people.

The way Allison is phrasing it (especially the „adding ingredients without spilling“) seems more like introducing chores at a very young age because otherwise those big families don’t work when kids are homeschooled.

I can’t believe I forgot the Duggars! Of course there is Joshua James and then many kids later they had a James.
