My Coloring Supplies Setup

Curious

I had these pictures in my Coloring Supplies ~ Colored Pencils ~ Part 1 post, but for some reason they are giving me fits.  They keep showing up randomly in other posts and just generally being a PITA.   So I'm giving them their own post and hope that finally makes them happy and cooperative.

This is a table next to my recliner:

Here is a labeled version so you can tell what is what:

It's not an addiction.  Stop looking at me like that!

Wow, Curious!!!:AOK:

Your post is my new supplies goal.  How many different colored pencils do you think you have?  I try new styles and brands yet end up with the same 50 or so colors.  Do you know of a brand that sells different tones and hues than the same ol' same ol'?

@violynnkelly   By now you have probably seen all the pencil brands I have.  I do have a lot of duplication on the "basic" colors.   I just look at the non-basic colors in a set and guess whether they are going to be the same as another set I already have.   I've looked at them so much that I have a relatively good idea what they look like.

If you have several sets that have your main colors in them, I'd recommend getting the woodless ones in my Coloring Supplies post.   Even though they have the same basic colors (as well as others), they lay down color a little more smoothly than any other pencil I have and they have different shades of the basic colors.

They are long lasting (I have yet to even sharpen one) and the colors are very vibrant.  You can get a lot of difference in color based on the amount of pressure you put on them, which isn't easy with some pencils I have.

@Curious  Thanks, I am definitely going shopping this week for the woodless pencils.  I'm still very clumsy with my coloring and just learning how to blend and shade so that my pictures don't look awful.  This hobby is so good for sending me into a calm state my blood pressure is even lowering.

Do you have any opinions on Prismacolor Premier art markers?  I just got some and they seem to be darker than I'd expected. The crimson red marker looks almost purple on the coloring book page.
