Curse of the Bancrofts??

I’m kinda starting to think that the Bancrofts may be cursed/unlucky with God.

First there was the incident I mentioned in a comment on their first entry: Christmas tree caught fire, as did Karen, had to exit without saving so she didn’t die.

Second: I restarted the family, played for a bit before it randomly froze. As in time stopped, as did the family. You could click on stuff but nothing happened. Moved them into a new house.

Third: they now have four kids: Madison, Michael, Max and Mason (who’s a boy). Things were going OK, the twins were on track to age up well. Karen had just given birth to baby #5, a girl called Martha. Things were hectic, and I let Mason get a little too hungry... suddenly all the kids’ portraits bar Martha’s disappeared. Yup, social worker. I did not want that happening so exited without save.... re-entered the lot, they’d gone right back to when they’d just moved in. Mason was still a baby, Karen hadn’t even realised she was pregnant with number 5 yet.

UGH. This reminded me why I use BoolProp a lot, you can slide the needs bars up as needed. Better yet, I might just use the letterbox to Make All Happy (aka max the motives) and then make them static so they don’t deplete, they won’t need to eat or sleep or pee.

I *have* decided to create a college for Sapphire Springs (having originally not wanted to do one as I find the actual university aspect rather boring and repetitive), AND send the Bancroft kids there. This is primarily for space reasons; Karen wants 10 kids, which I have achieved before, which is only achievable with moving Sims out pretty much as soon as the Teen stage hits, otherwise it’s another two Sim weeks until they move out. Karen has around 18 or so days of adulthood left, and Madison and Michael don’t have long left in the Child stage.

I figured that I could create a small dorm and have it so only Sims created by me can be resident (this is theoretically possible), or just move them into a private lot. In keeping with their fundie-ness I would have an all-girls and all-boys dorm.

You could use a mod that allows more than 8 sims to live in lot. There are plenty of them out there.
And I know that feeling with low needs... Maxmotives is my saving grace. :pb_lol:

I’m the same age as Braggie and I was so glad to be over the baby toddler stage. Her girl twins are the same age as my older son and her son Theo is the same age as my younger son. And she’s had 4 kids since having this kids. I would be so miserable and phoning everything in. If I had 4 more kids. I’m so glad I can focus on my 2 kids and enjoy parenting them.

I always knew I wanted only one child. I've been a teacher forever and the only work break I had in 42 years was the three months of maternity leave when she was born. But, luckily, I was able to spend every summer at home with her and when she started school our schedules were very similar and we had the same school vacations.

For me that was perfect. One child was enough because my job has always been demanding from late August to June, and I know my limits. My husband works full time too and was always unusually involved in her life. Even with his considerable help I still was only able to really focus on just one. It's all so individual. But more than two kids? No way. I'm exhausted just thinking about it. My daughter and I are great friends (not in the Jill way - ewww) now that she's in her 20's and on her own.

I keep meaning to post something about Tennessee Brando here - every time I watch one of his videos, I think of Bro Gary and his buddies, because, while his accent is different, he uses a lot of the same southernisms as Gary. It's like he's redeeming the whole southeastern US for me (he's a progressive Democrat who talks about politics).

This video seemed especially apt - it's his take on the evangelical pastor who came out against the Trump bible.

      Spoiler

There's so much the pastor says, and so much about his style, that would be right up Gary's alley. But he's Pentecostal, his church is large, and it looks like they do the worship music stuff that Gary hates - no smokestacks, though.

Now, if Pastor Baker came out against Trump and his bible, that would blow Gary's mind.

Per story on Kress's IG, Rachel Morton had her baby. Born the same day as Issa.

Could Kress be talking about Addie or Francesca’s baby being born on Isa’s birthday? The baby (boy?) on Rachel’s lap looks bigger than newborn. Maybe it was born at the start of April?

It looks like joy may not have been there because of health problems with their family. They went camping with Austin's family and had a terrible time. Austin had breathing issues because of his Asthma. Gideon was also having breathing issues, which was officially diagnosed as Asthma when Joy took him to the doctor when they got back. The baby was cutting a tooth, which it why he was being fussy. I think joy had her own allergy issues because of all pollen. All the pollen may have made the baby fussy, too, in addition to him cutting a tooth. I guess they picked the wrong weekend to go because they go camping a lot and seem to always have a good time..
