Wow! I bet it was hard on the eyes but I gotta say it looks great. I would have given up on those tiny areas.

Thanks, @Snickles!  I almost did give up on it. Had to rest my eyes for several days at a time while working on it and it got to be almost more work than pleasure. I like the way it turned out, but don't think I'll be choosing another page from that book. Glad you like it!

It's amazing @Tikobaby, looks like so much hard work though, I get why you took several days rest between working on it. It's a shame that it has so much black and grey shaded areas pre-done as I would love to see more of your pages from the book, but no point in doing it when it becomes a chore to do rather than fun and relaxing to colour.

I love what you did with it. It really does look stunning.

Sometimes when I do pages like that I color over large areas with a light color, yellow or pastels or something, and add some darker color in tiny areas on top of it. That seems less tedious than coloring each tiny area separately

Thank you, @caszandra.  Yep, it was a bit of a challenge to keep at it this time. Really wish there was a LOT less pre-printed dark areas and lines. I want to be able to color it all myself, not color over darkness.  Like the way it turned out, but it did feel like a chore at the end.

Thank you @OnceUponATime.  Glad you like it!  I chose this page for its Egyptian elements because I love ancient Egyptian art and it had the profile of a face.  All the pages have a lot of blackened areas, some more than this one, some about the same. The design on this page is small and tight and some of the other pages have bigger, more open designs, but those include even bigger blackened spaces. I don't see the point in having a coloring book with so much pre-inked black/grey/shading lines. I want to choose my colors and have as much space as possible open to color.

I did some of the pre-shaded areas like that...just filled in over them with one color, usually yellow or light blue. I'd just rather have open space to color without thick lines or pre-printed black/grey at all.   

I love the design, but it would have driven me nuts!

It is lovely, I really like Art Deco . I understand your frustration though. I feel the same about the owl book I have. I feel the need to color everything a different color. It becomes more of a chore that way.

       You did a great job with this one. I have been gardening a lot lately and fussing with my house plants (I have over 20) so not much coloring lately. I am sure I will start again soon.

Thank you, @Grimalkin.  Am glad you like it.   I think the biggest issue I had with this one was the small size of the design's elements. I am very near-sighted and can't color with my glasses on. I see better up close without them and it strained my eyes to do this page.  Just started working on a page from Pampered Pets and it looks gigantic after doing the Egyptian one!  What a relief to the eyes.    

@Tikobaby I keep telling my eye doctor i think I need reading glasses too. He says "no, not yet" meh getting old stinks sometimes.

      Sometimes I have a hard time finding coloring books I like because of all the little teeny tiny details. 

You did a great job on this one.  I am super glad I didn't pre-order this one and waited for you to post one.  This book would have been money wasted on me.  I don't mind intricate detail, but this is way too much tiny stuff for my old eyes to handle.  I am so happy I found the walk throughs on youtube because I've been able to cut some books out that I wouldn't really enjoy.  It cuts both ways though because I've probably found just as many to add to my list that I wouldn't have looked at otherwise
