It's Monday

Monday.  In the northlands.  May friggin-16th.

What was pretty when it appeared in December is now just ANNOYING.

All the plants are back indoors.  I won't even put them out today - it's too cold.  For some, that means re-acclimating later in the week.

*sighs*

On the good news side, the cucumbers are starting to form their true leaves:

They'll eventually be going here:

And I went ahead and transplanted basil on Friday:

It looks like three more nights in the 30s and then we *MAY* be ready for warmer temps.

I am *SEVERELY* disappointed in Mother Nature right now.

I feel for you, @SpoonfulOSugar.  I won't tell you that we are still wearing long shorts and tshirts here, and reaching for a light cardigan in the morning/afternoon.

I haven't even started my garden yet because it's been too dann cold.  We had 40 degrees last night, snow and hail yesterday, and sunny and cold today.  $&£@%€!!!!!1!1!!!

Small piece of wonderful news - I hadn't seen my lady cardinal in quite a bit - but I had seen a hawk, so I was a bit concerned.

Both members of the pair were just at the feeders.  *whew*  I feel better!!!

@Karma  It was a *LOVELY* day just Saturday - I think the high hit 70 degrees (about 21 or 22) and our neighbors had an outdoor party.  Seriously.

We are setting records for snow!  And the Weather Service has issued a *winter weather advisory*.

Moderate to heavy snow will continue through 10 a.m. this morning as a heavy band moves through the region. Be careful out there, roads will remain slushy for a few more hours.

I feel . . . special?!

Yeah, that's it.  I'm a speshul snowflake if ever there was one!!!

Yes, she was in her late teens/early 20s. So, plenty old enough to have a phone. And probably the only way to communicate with Meech, who had checked out years prior.

She talks about disordered eating in the interview with AB Stuckey. She says she was really worried about gaining weight & would sleep in as long as possible to avoid meals.

She talked to her mom about it and Michelle became her accountability partner and Jinger would text her what she ate for the day.

Maybe she explains more in the book about how/if it evolved or resolved. She didn’t really expand much on whether it still affected her daily life or not.

I personally would never do a reality show or have a YouTube channel. Because I never want my life to be debated online. And that’s what’s so sad about kids who get no choice. All of the Duggar kids were underage when they first special was recorded. They weren’t able to consent to putting their lives on national tv. It’s not fair that we even know who Jinger Duggar is. We shouldn’t know. She and her siblings shouldn’t have been exploited in order to line the pockets of JB and TLC.

Your quote just kind of proves what I said, so I stand by what I said. She knows about the website, she doesn’t approve of the website, and the title has nothing to do with the website.

Yea, I can’t imagine being anyone who is discussed here and seeing it as a remotely positive thing. Even if you somehow appreciated it’s mostly done with the best of intentions, and there may be certain aspects that ring true or are even enlightening —- still, We’re talking about real peoples real lives and generally disagreeing with everything from how they were raised, to what they eat, to how clean or messy their house is, to if they wear hats, to their choice in men. Of course they hate it. I sure would.

Thankfully I have a decent mother in law. Even though she has an extremely opinionated and blunt personality. She tries very hard not to be a bad mother in law. She said she had a very tumultuous relationship with her mother in law (my husband’s grandma) and she didn’t want to repeat that. I met my husband’s grandma when we were first dating and she had a very strong personality. So I could easily see how two very strong personalitied women like them would butt heads. I bet it was awful. I also want to take the route my mother in law is taking. I have two sons and I don’t want to have a tumultuous relationship with a daughter in law or a son in law (yes, I don’t know if either son with be totally straight so I’m keeping my mind open to the possibilities. They both say they never want to get married, lol).

I danced through my living room feeling awesome. From time to time I do this. Maybe wine is involved. Good music is definitely involved. It is awesome. I recommend it to you. With or without wine.

After a few months of trying to decide what kind of new computer to get and my brother telling me a Mac would be the best decision I could ever make and my sister telling me that would be the worst and I ought to stick to Windows.... I now have a used Mac. I am trying to get used to it. Not easy, but the Magnifying program is a lot better than the Windows one (that was the ultimate reason for my decision) and FJ works a lot better than on my 10-year old Laptop, too!!

Y'all, holter monitors suck. And naturally the palpitations that caused this test to be ordered are remarkably absent today.
I'm off to go work out in the hopes that triggers it. T minus 10 hours till I get this thing off.

I frigging hate the toilets at this worksite. Specifically the door locks. Stupid little knoblet that isn't clear if it is locked or not. Door opens right off the main hallway and the toilet is just far enough from the door that I can't just hold the door shut in case I've got the lock wrong. I mean really people, how hard is it to design this? I just want to pee in private with no anxiety. Apparently that is too much to ask for.
