steampunk and gardens

Yay for coloring! I think this may be my one and only steampunk picture (was a sample) because omg that was horrible to color. which may or may not have a lot to do with only using my 12 mini stabilo pens. not for large coloring areas

I did my peacock (secret garden book?) at the end of last year and am very happy with it.

And I haven't touched this one since Christmas but am hoping to soon (its a bit crappy quality photo sorry). It is going to be hard to find a nice way of coloring the center tree without the whole thing becoming too green

Then my camera ran out of batteries and I don't have any that are charged atm :(

All of your pages are very well done.  I think the steampunk one looks great.  I have those stablio markers and like them for small areas.   I'm not really into steampunk, but the couple pictures people have posted here were enough for me to decide to pre-order the Steampunk Animals book that is coming out later this year.

I really like your peacock, too!

Oooh, these look great!  About the center tree in the bottom picture... sometimes, in my coloring world, it's randomly autumn for some trees and summer for others...

Some trees just turn faster than others, just like in real life :)

it better be like that in real life because I'm trying for a realistic color scheme on this one. Well maybe except for the watering can. I suggested to my bf that I do the wheelbarrow pink too so it looks like it came from a set - his reaction was priceless. "Pink wheelbarrows do NOT exist!"

I was thinking about our drive to Baltimore in August and the trees on the way were definitely in various stages of turning.  I remember because I specifically mentioned it to my husband.  So you're good to go from a realism standpoint, I think.

They make pink everything now days.   I bet if you tried you could definitely find a pink watering can and maybe even a wheelbarrow!

hahahahaha Curiosity got the better of me and I used my super google tactics to see if pink wheelbarrows exist.    I think the bf owes you an apology and maybe even dinner and a movie ;)

pink watering can

I have seen one before! It was in a 'girl's first garden' set in a toy store. Yeah they had a blue one for the boys  because you know children can't water plants unless the watering can is in the 'correct' color

This seems to be their bottom line. And apparently enough people are seeing that that no one's willing to waste anymore money on them! Sadly I doubt anything will make them stop and think - unless it's someone in their anti-work community who they trust (which I highly doubt they have). If someone they know personally finally opened their eyes to how ridiculous the anti-work movement is, I could maybe see one of them accepting how untenable that belief system is and making changes from there. So realistically? They'll live their lives as (attempted) master grifters.

2 bathrooms works for us as a family of 4. But if we had more kids, I would probably want another toilet somewhere.

I am pretty sure that that is the exact same fridge, or a very similar fridge, to the one my sibling and their spouse put in when they built their new house three years ago. It's fine except that the water that comes out isn't as cold as I prefer my water to be.

I don't Love or hate open plan homes. They are very convenient for someone like my mother, who can't hear you calling from another room but who can tell that you're talking from across the room and use her lipreading/face reading skills to fill in what she doesn't hear. (she has a hearing loss.) My sibling has one and it's convenient when they are cooking because they can keep an eye on the kids. But they also have a playroom that is not part of the open plan, which I think is essential so that you are not continually stepping on Legos.

And I tend to think that people with three or more bathrooms are not cleaning their own bathrooms. Myself absolutely love having my own bathroom but then again I live alone. I think that having IBS and sharing a bathroom would be very difficult to do.

I was born with dark hair. Fell out, came back white blonde. Have been going darker ever since. It’s ash blonde (street dog blonde….) now. Which- as the internet tells me, is no considered „old money blonde“ (🤪🙄). Maybe that’s how we see it when I have finally grown out the dark brown I had dyed it…..

They could have moved closer to Ryann’s family last summer instead of moving to Seattle…that would have saved them their donors several thousands…but it’s not money they had to earn so they don’t care. Every decision they make is very reactive as opposed to proactive. They rarely think of the consequences.
