It was snowing most of the night so the ground was covered this morning.
The local NBC station is saying probably 1 to 3 inches throughout Minnesota with about two inches in the Twin Cities.
It's not going to be especially heavy but then you got all those idiots out there who forgot how to drive in winter weather.
Last week when I was down in Iowa the snow pretty much melted up here in the Twin Cities. Well we got it all back today.

Of course today the electric company had a scheduled outage in my neighborhood and my power was supposed to be down from 10 to 2 today. So I went in to the office. I have no idea if the outage went off as scheduled or if they're going to do it again tomorrow.

Over the past week we've had several inches of snow. It cleared up Sunday but the temperature dropped like a rock these past few days.
And we - along with most of the rest of the upper Midwest - are also getting hammered. Right now one of the local stations is saying we'll get 4 to 8 more inches of snow Plus blowing snow tomorrow and Friday. Ugh.

Well we survived the first part of the storm. It's currently -8 here in Minneapolis. The sun is out right now but the snow is still blowing around.
Things are still pretty dicey out there right now and forecasters are saying out in the country there will be whiteout conditions later today and tomorrow.
Still planning to head back to Iowa Saturday though. Just going to give myself a lot of extra time to get there.
