7+ hours down the drain

I was enjoying how the tree and the grass/field and houses turned out (coloured pencils). Then I loved the two little kitties in metallic gel pens. Then, if I may be frank, I totally fucked up the moon and the background. Ugh. My hand was shaking after this marathon. And I'm so sad that I hate the result.

I think it's beautiful. The moon adds to the sort of other-wordliness of the bright colors but the sky keeps it all grounded without competing with the other things in the picture.

Aw, thanks, @Rowan.  I think it's the colour of the sky that disturbs me most. It just seems...off. I thought about going over it in a different shade but, by then, the thought of more colouring made me want to cry. (Well, ok, not quite. But I definitely overdid it!)

I really love it.  I' m sad too you aren't happy with it since I go through that all the time.  Thank you for posting it though- I love your rainbow/ polka dots and the kitties.

it looks nice to me in the photo but things can look different in real life

sleep a few nights on it and then color a test patch with different shades on top of the current one  for the sky and try it out next to the other colors?

That's very good advice!  I will do just that.

I like it.  The sky looks fine to me.  AmazonGrace had some good suggestions.  Look at it again when you're not so tired and so over it...sounds like you really overdid it!  I take a lot of breaks and don't usually color more than 2-3 hours at once.

I like this one!   I don't think the moon is screwed up.    I totally love that tree.  So much fun!

We are always harder on our own work than others are.   I've found that pages I wasn't too happy with when I finished are not as horrible as I thought when I go back and look at them again a few days/weeks later.

Carver will be Lawson Bates 2.0

I also saw the photographer request. It's literally been a month since your last professional photos.

They were both at the rally Jan 6th. They both are trying to launch a singing career. They both have a little bit of notoriety due to their family of origin (Carver because of his dad’s conspiracy theory alt right documentaries). They both chose young wives. And they both chose wives who aren’t from poor families.

Guys, give it to me straight.  I'm 34 right now and so far my feet are fine.  Is it going to get this bad in the next 6-7 years?  I need to prepare myself.

Kids made my feet bigger. If you have kids, be prepared you might go up half a size or a full size. But I didn’t get plantar fasciitis until my 40s. I also got used to not wearing heels and it’s hard to go back once you stop. Just make sure to take care of your feet. Don’t wear shoes that are too small. If a pair of shoes really hurt your feet or back, don’t wear them. And I recommend supportive in soles for shoes you wear the most. But o have really high arches. So that could be part of my need for supportive in soles.

Lucky kid! I mean it! She can swagger into any clearance section where the only good things left are in size 5 or size 10.

Seriously? I wanna go shopping with you! I can hardly ever find size 5, on clearance or not. I usually admit defeat and head over to the kid section. Sure, it's cheaper, but I'm not going to find stiletto heels or nice boots (except rubber boots) in there!

I feel like the eyeroll reaction gets quite a workout with her posts. She comes across as so privileged and immature. Come back to us in a few years when you’re chasing around a couple of toddlers while struggling with morning sickness with another, Carver’s singing career has stalled, and your parents have decided to stop funding your lifestyle,

Off topic.  my 13 year old is in size 10.  where do you find shoes for under $50?  She loves shoes and is really upset she can’t find shoes that fit that are affordable enough to buy multiple pair.
