Finally got to put pen to paper and get my first picture done since surgery 3wks ago. Took a bit longer than normal to finish as I was taking rest stops for my hand but so glad to get back to colouring! I used Winsor & Newton Pro and Brush Markers, starting to really love using the Brush Markers a smidgen more than the Pro's. Went a bit overboard with colour as I used 35 different pens to get this done lol

Great job!  I almost started this page a couple of weeks ago, but went with another one that's still sitting here and hardly worked on.  Your markers are looking smooth and silky too.  :marker:    :my_shy:

This is adorable!  the bubbles/water look great.    I'm glad I'm not the only one that uses tons of markers on a page :)

I suspect it was a combination of initially wanting to be quiverful, discovering she "wasn't maternal" and then instead of changing her mind like most people she doubled down so she could be the Most Perfect Mother/Martyr For Jesus.

I wanted to have 3 children, for various reasons that wasn't possible. It still annoys me that mothers like Abbie and Jill are so bloody awful at it, when so many women struggle with fertility.

As for Shaun... it's hard to tell. I don't think he is engaged by small children, but once they are older he interacts more with them. I'm still surprised his work travel hasn't involved a vasectomy.

Have children at this age even the motor skills to do that?

Seriously that was my thought too. It's one thing if kids that age (1) are helping (or rather "helping") but between motor skills and language development they should only be helping, not doing it all themselves. The way she's phrased it is she's teaching her how to run a house, at an age where most are learning to dress themselves. I really hope it is poor phrasing. Out of curiosity I looked up the Montessori chore list (in spoiler)

I'm amused at the kitchen list - at 18 months my child still couldn't sit up from lying down, so my idea of appropriate chores (and development!) for that age is way off.

I guess some people don't need to hear a sermon that's made up of coherent sentences.

I think a lot of people zone out in church, and are posting comments for public consumption to show they are good church going people (and quite possibly to support Gary and Becky). It would be interesting to see the views stats on it, particularly if we could exclude FJ views!

They're moving when their lease is up. They need a "fresh start". They've decided to move "out of state" to a place closer to Ryann's family, good medical care, and a lower cost of living. But they won't say where they are going.

If they move out of state does that impact their disability payments? Or are they federal?

I wonder how long this relocation will last.
