I'm not really in the mood to write a post, I really just want to share pictures!

Here's a wide angle of the garden.  We had an overnight visitor who dug up some stuff on the 4th of July.  I think most of the mayhem has been repaired.

All the cherry varieties of tomatoes are blooming, and I'm starting to see fruit:

I also have a couple little peppers:

And the cucumbers and peas are blooming:

Our cedar planters are generally looking healthy:

So, between rain storms and squirrel wrangling, I have been enjoying all the green plant life.  I know some of the containers are overcrowded, but this is our first years with some of these configurations.  One of these days, I'm going to update my lists of what is growing.  (One of these days.)  In the meantime, I'll just continue to appreciate green plants!  :kitty-wink:

I love those cedar planters. You seem to have everything in containers. I never really looked into veggies in containers.

Thank you for posting the pictures.

We are 90 percent containers - we have a front bed that has chives, bleeding heart and lupine and a bed of daylilies that is overgrown.  DH and I are both disabled, so it makes a big difference in maintenance.  He wants to put rocks all through the area - I'm still not totally sold on that.  It definitely changes my weeding, though.  This is the second summer for some of this - but we have expanded significantly.

The cedar planters are from Tractor Supply and this is the first summer.  I'm learning about the spacing and what does and doesn't work for combinations.  One (old cedar - we had it last year but it never got planted) has summer squash, peas, cucumbers, and watermelon (crop failure!) and the other (new cedar) has peas, beans, chard/spinach and brassicas.  The squash works well on the bottom tier, but it is overtaking the second tier peas.  I have four plantings of peas at week/ten day intervals (different varieties, too) but we shall see how that works.  Three of the plantings are in the cedars - the fourth in the terra cotta round at the end.

@withaj is growing dwarf tomatoes, which may prove to be a much better choice for containers.  I'm watching her outcomes with #gardenenvy.  (On some species, I was able to select container varieties.)

@Cartmann99  Thank you for appreciating my garden!  I have not gardened for years and am finding new joy in the simple pleasures.

It's moving day for the entitlement twins.  Anyone want to guess when their next grift will be?  I am sure it will be less than a day for their next "funding request" to appear.

My guess is that some of their "boxes*" will have been lost, damaged, stolen, etc and they will be needing the items** in those particular boxes replaced ASAP.

      * boxes... if any boxes even exist. They collect free money then do whatever they want.

** items... the lost boxes will "contain" their most valuable belongings so they can beg for as much money as possible.

You know, it just occurred to me.. why would Josh even think he deserves another hearing? He is nobody but a minor D-list player.. and a bad one at that. Yeah, I know we're all equal under the law, but... he's not all that..

I still can't believe I was rooting for Anna when they went to DC. I honestly thought she was open to new ideas as she met people who were smart and active and doing things.

To be fair to yourself, that was over ten years and three scandals ago, so your optimism hadn’t yet taken all the hits. We hadn’t seen Anna’s true colors. All we saw at the time was a heavily edited reality show. The smoke and mirrors were working overtime. The severity of IBLP beliefs that the Duggars and others in the cult lived by were whitewashed by TLC.

I really like Jana’s tiny house. Very cute, lots of good organization. She also looks 10x more relaxed than when she was on the show.
