Don't Mess With Bristol: Palin Has God On Her Side!

Has there every been anyone who has deserved so little yet rewarded so much as Bristol Palin? She isn't smart, articulate, educated or charming. She shows no discernible talent or skill. She is petty, vindictive, bigoted, spoiled and entitled. And yet she is treated as if she is truly special with something to contribute to society. Vomit.

I will never forgive John McCain for unleashing this horrible family on the United States.

Is it me or is this type of celebrity much more common now than it used to be, by which I mean people who are 'famous for being famous'?

Is it the 'slow down for the car wreck' effect?

Because for these celebrities to be paid to be on shows means people are watching, and I'll admit I sometimes watch, just to stare in bewilderment!

Is everyone else watching for this reason, or do many people actually admire people like Bristol?

If God is on her side; then how come she isn't married? After all; according to her fundie logic, children need both a father and mother to be perfect people who do no wrong. Hypocrite.

Frankly, I hope he wins a mint...Whether or not it was him who made the comment that made it onto the show, reality TV is all about over-reaction and confrontation and drama, not what actually happened or didn't happen. IF the comment wasn't set up in the first place :o, and IF the producers really don't have a signed release , could get interesting. Palin could have done the MATURE thing and walked away (which, hopefully, is what she WOULD have done if she wasn't being paid big bucks to create a story for the cameras), but reality TV would disappear tomorrow if it actually showed...reality. :D

This. Bristol talks out of her ass a lot. I hated when she commented on the Obama girls' gay marriage views. I doubt she knows any gay couples raising children. There many children being raised by gay parents that are providing very stable homes for their children. The Palins do have money, but I suspect like others than Sarah and Todd are shitty parents.

I agree, I also wonder why Bristol doesn't practice what she preaches and marries some guy to be a daddy for her son Tripp.

I thought she was leaving Hollywood and the spotlight to raise her child? I guess not, if she's doing a reality show. The famewhore gene runs deep in that disgusting family. You know, when fucking Elisabeth Hasselbeck is telling you that you did the wrong thing by picking on Obama and his daughters, you know you fucked up bad.

And yeah - Bristol Palin is a godly saint for keeping her baby after her idiot boyfriend knocked her up, but Jamie Lynn Spears is a trashy slut for the same reason? Stupid. I'm also waiting for the day her attempt at celebrity fails.

I'm glad Hasselbeck said that. Bristol is only a saint to a niche fanbase of conservatives who only like the Palins because they are so "godly". I have conservative friends and relatives who loathe the Palins for several reasons. Bristol's attempt at being a celeb is failing. She befriended one of DWTS opponents, Kyle Massey and I think she has been using him to try to establish connection in Holywood. Kyle Massey is more of a D-List celeb, he was on a Disney Channel show that was never huge. Bristol lived with Kyle and his brother Christopher in L.A. for awhile. Christopher was on the kids show Zoey 101 years ago. I bet she probably hoped they would help her gain fame, but neither one has a major pull in Hollywood.

I want to know why she isn't at home with her father still. BRISTOL IS LIVING WITH *TWO MEN* in CALIFORNIA. Tsk tsk tsk. Soon Tripp is going to become a fashionably dressed, dinosaur riding, nazi-spouting preschool dropout. I'm calling it.

LOVE THIS.

Bristol, Sarah and the whole Palin/Johnson crew really piss me off. I am with others who question why the hell conservatives (or anyone, for that matter) revere these fuckwits. I cringe when I think of the day that Tripp reads a news story or sees the interviews in which Sarah talks a lot of shit on Levi, or when he sees one in which Levi does the same about Sarah and Bristol.

Is this part of the reality show? Sounds like a shitty reality show version of Three's Company. Mr. Furley would not be amused.

I think when she was filmed for the canned never aired A&E show, it was around the time she was living with Kyle and Christopher Massey. According to some sources, the Lifetime show is about her adjusting to life back in Alaska. As I mentioned before, I think Bristol was only living with the Massey brothers with the hope that would increase her fame or give her connections in Hollywood.

Strange. I just had a momentary pang of sadness for her. From here her life reeks of desperation. If she doesn't become a D-List celebrity, what other prospects does she have? She's still young but life is fleeting and another 5 years or so of non-fame could be the end of all her plans and ambitions. And then what? Work in a coffee shop or WalMart? Marry somebody/anybody and regret her lost chances? She is not particularly smart or attractive and yet I think she will find it hard to settle down into a normal life. Porn Star?

She gets a degree of (very reluctant) sympathy from me, if just because, like Smuggar, she must have been doomed from the start. Regarding her income sources/career prospects, does she still get any $$$ from speaking engagements? It was about a year and a half ago that my beloved Washington University made the decision to hire her for a panel, and then cancelled her appearance after pressure from the students (and alumni, and staff, and locals....) I am ever-so-slightly tempted to watch the show to see how she is portrayed spending her time... what does she do all day... though I realize that "reality TV" is anything but.

I don't think I know anyone who is actually interested in what Bristol Palin has to say anymore (not that I knew very many who were interested in the first place). Even people who may agree with some of her mother's politics think that she's a hypocrite for claiming that "Christian family values" are important to her and then turning around and moving to Hollywood and filming a reality show.

I think that it's going to be a very rough transition for her when her fifteen minutes of fame (inevitably) run out. I don't really feel any sympathy for her at this point because she had the chance to move away from the public eye after the 2008 election and she didn't take it.

I ended up catching the last 10 minutes of her show last night. It was Bristol sitting on the couch complaining/whining while Willow was packing a suitcase to return to Alaska. Bristol was crying and saying how she's got no help with Tripp and has no family to help and how dare Willow leave her. Seriously, that was the whole end of the show, Bristol bemoaning her loneliness and Willow being much too polite to point out that if Bristol hadn't moved to LA, she'd still have everything she's crying about not having.

The editors must've been combing the footage looking for something, anything, that might be interesting, and the best they could find was a sobbing Bristol, complaining about how she moved to this place far away from everyone and now she has no one around.

I never thought of Bristol as super dumb (just super naive), but now I've got to wonder. Did she think that moving to LA everyone from home would follow her? Maybe she thought LA would be full of people dying to be her next BFF*? Or did part of her know that she was moving away from her entire support system, but since Republicans are forbidden from admitting mistakes, all she can do it bemoan the circumstances she's found herself in?

*Not an idea for a new reality show, but if Bristol Palin: The Search for My Next BFF airs, I want a creator credit.

Another reason Lifetime should drop this show.

Bristol wasn't named in the suit. But I have a feeling that her friendship with the Masseys is likely over.

might cost them more in legal fees then the show generates. You would think god could grease the wheels a bit.

She should have taken the money she earned on DWTS and gone to college, gotten a degree and made a real life for her and her son. Much more exciting/lucrative to go to LA and become a Z list celeb!

I do too. I believe she would have been a completely different, less shallow person if Mommy hadn't decided to run for office.

I do not think there is way that Sarah could have not known that Bristol was pregnant when she accepted the VP nomination. She knew what kind of controversy it would bring her daughter into, and knew that her grandson would always be looked upon in a negative way, as the kid that Mom had out of wedlock and that was proof Grandma's policies didn't work. Sarah is one of the very few women I think deserves the c word!

Bristol has said some truly godawful stuff, and I'm not letting her off on that, but I don't think she would be nearly as extreme and materialistic if she hadn't been put into the spotlight. She will NEVER be taken seriously as anything else but the "half-term former VP's screwup daughter."
