Why do they make it so difficult to learn bible verses? Hand actions are pointless. Set it to music. It is so easy to remember when you have a tune.

Pft. Inspirational words set to a tune is too much like rock and/or roll. Next thing you know they'll be dancing. :snooty:

That TV is pretty obviously displayed too...

Boy is it ever. Josh must loving watching himself on it. Anna probably has to watch DVDs of the show 24/7 on it when he's not home. Then he watches porn on it after everyone's asleep.

I think the flowers (white carnations) are real. Other than that I think everything else at the "party" is faked, you can see the camera man's gear behind the sofa. The sofa itself has been set at an angle which limits space in the teency living room but I guess it makes for a better shot? Or perhaps Anna saw a couch at an angle in a magazine and thought she'd make the house more fashionable. I would guess that Anna would prefer bright and cheerful furniture but her headship spends all the money on greasy lunches so there's nothing left over for some nice grown up furniture that is to her taste. Its like they saw some photos of parties online and thought that it was something they'd try. Obviously they needed the red solo cups as those are often featured at parties of college age adults.

ITA that party is fake as hell. The footage will probably be paired with the video of those some people playing basketball at the TH, then volleyball on Josh;s new net in the backyard. See, they do too have friends. Speaking of solo cups, here's the measurements for ya, Joshie:

That looks like a very "young" crowd for Joshieboy. Was he supposed to be the grown up? I bet Anna and the M'kids had to go to the TTH so Josh could stage have his party.

I wasn't sure where to post this, but I think I've found a Joshie look-a-like...

He's on the Weather Channel show "Ice Pilots". (I only know this because I always put that channel on just before I go to bed.)

And a passel of Michelle female impersonators.

Maybe she'd come third in her own impersonation contest, like Charlie Chaplin did.

Dolly Parton came in second or third in her own contest too. I dont remember the specifics, I'll look them up, but I believe it was Halloween and there was a drag queen contest, and she overdid herself a little, and went in and was beat by someone else haha

Yeah the woman on the right looks like she's having a ball.

Nice rack, though. (Sorry, occasionally I cannot resist crude.) Definitely defrauding.

I just have to wonder what Jim Bob thinks of Josh's spending habits. He must be disappointed that Josh is not following his example. Wonder if he has tried to make some suggestions, ("Hey son, how about buying a rental property?") or if he is just waiting for Josh to fail, at which point it will be the Jim Sammons Financial Freedom Seminar to the rescue.

Josh is old enough to clearly remember the pre-TLC days. Maybe he really resents the fact that he had to do without all kinds of things, and even possibly as much food as he wanted, while his parents continued to bring new blessings into the family, and he has decided that he will do things differently.

One thing I'm reasonably sure of is that the car lot improvements were paid for by Jim Bob. Lazy as he is, I can't imagine Josh would have such a cavalier attitude about the business if he had some of his own money tied up in it.

Maybe part of their financial plan is messing their lives up so much they make it onto one of those trainwreck reality shows. Actually, here's what I really think it is: Josh plans on having a normal number of kids, but the only financial advice he's ever been exposed to is "we live super frugal because we have a buttload of kids". So he probably thinks normal people just throw frugality out the window, and that's what he's doing.

I see Mullet in that pic. Desperately in need of conditioner and a fresh dye job. The perms have turned the ends of her hair dark blonde for crissakes. Dear Mulllet, sometimes you just got to say NO to the hair styling products, whether they be perms, pomade, bump-its with extra hair attached, or the curling iron used for those greasy bangs and side ringlets.

Looks like Jessa is in the front next to Happy Girl. Where's everyone else? Out in Smuggar's yard playing volleyball? Does he have any room left in the yard now that he's put that thing up?

Agree this will be spliced into a montage episode, ostensibly an FU Internetz!!!!!11111 WE HAZ FRENZ: Look at us chillaxin' with the posse.

I don't think it's Michelle. That's not one of her blouses.

What a grim little room. The heavy, dark wood furniture, the battered couch, crummy carpet, and the dark curtain over the air conditioner all combine to make it downright depressing.

Instead of wasting my money eating out constantly, I'd be putting it - and maybe some elbow grease - into a little interior decorating.

Lighten it up with a nice cream or beige and change the heavy curtains!

My living room here at the hovel is probably as big as his and has a fireplace. I have big windows out to the patio. And since I unfortunately have a chocolate couch and cocoa carpeting and one real wood wall I had to lighten it up. I painted the flat walls all a pale ice blue. I have lots of throw pillows with dashes of chocolate and the same blue, and many other colors (I'm a textile junkie). There are real oriental throw rugs with similar color accents. My bookshelves are more open so they appear not to take up much space. I do have a killer curvy mid century modern (space age) coffee table that has hints of the pale blue on it. There are unique items and real art on the bookshelves and walls. The lighting is two wall mounted bars with three MR16 leds to give plenty of light on a dim Boregon day. During the winter I bring some plants in. I would like one more chair for seating.

What's the white thing on the upper far right wall? At first glance I thought they were in a basement, until I saw the window. Living in that hours woudl motive me to go to work so I could buy a better one.

The thing between the bookshelves? Think it's a big, ugly clock.

Looks like some sort of light fixture. Probably for the cameras. That room is so dark they probably need to brighten it up for filming. I remember the Gosselins had to have special lighting installed back in the day.

No, the long white bar near the celing. Sorry for not being specific.

I think he's talking about above the clock. I looks sort of like the pull down screens we had in elementary to view things with the projector. Could that be what it is? There's stuff in the way of it coming down but maybe they move stuff to watch a movie with a projector?

ETA: nevermind, the light fixture thing is a way better idea
