A friend of mine – a Christian homeschooling mother of 4 children – was visited these days by several armed policemen, in a time during the day when her husband was at work, and she was alone at home teaching her children. The cops asked questions, implying that she was abusing her children, and made clear threats about further “investigation†into the life of the family before they left.

Alongside that quote, Marinov has an unrelated picture of a SWAT team member at what I believe to been the Elian Gonzalez retrieval.

It's quite possibly true that we have reported a few of Mr. Marinov's buddies: A few of our less prudent fundie friends have bragged about beating their children and were reported for their comments to the lawful authorities in their jurisdiction (as is allowable under 1 Peter 2:13-14).

Beating children is illegal. If you do it, you're breaking the law. If you brag about it, you're tempting fate. And if you call it "holy," you're tempting God (Ephesians 6:4 and Matthew 18:6).

After doing some investigation on her own, she found out that the cops were sent on information by the Children’s Protection Services in the area. The CPS, on their turn, were activated by an anonymous report sent to them by a member of a group calling itself “Free Jinger.â€

Oh, I highly doubt the report was actually anonymous. The authorities aren't allowed to give out the names of those who report child abuse. But oh, gee, I must congratulate her on her Columbo-like investigative skills - I mean, after all, we pretty much told that silly ass – assuming we're talking about the same woman - that we are here and had planned to report her.

The official purpose of the group sounds innocent: “Childbearing. Childrearing. Gender equality. Religion. Race. Regionalism. A woman’s right to her body. Money/welfare.â€

In reality, the group is heavily anti-Christian, anti-family, motivated by hatred against all mothers who have chosen to obey the Biblical commandment to raise their children as Christians, and to obey the Biblical commandments to discipline and teach their children according to the Bible.

Uh, no. You see, discipline is supposed to work a change of heart in the child, rather than killing him. But we know of at least one couple with the blood-guilt on them for three deaths - and those were just the deaths properly identified as having been related to child abuse.

The individuals who share responsibility for these crimes are Michael and Debi Pearl. After Sean Paddock died, Michael Pearl released a statement mocking those who disagreed with his methods and disavowing the death because the women who read his book was 'doin' it wrong' - just like the parents of Lydia Schatzand Hana Williams were doin' it wrong.

I would love for Mr. Marinov, because he's such a Biblical scholar, to tell us what the Old Testament penalty for murder is.

The group is also full of what Rush Limbaugh correctly called “sluts†before he incorrectly apologized: women who believe that the world owes them to bail them out of the consequences of their sexual immorality, that is, the taxpayers should pay for their abortions. Socialism and violent anti-Christian sentiments, is the true ideology of “Free Jinger.â€

Fundie logic: If a woman reports child abuse, and is part of a group that opposes child abuse, she's a slut - and Rush Limbaugh is an expert on all things family; a fit model, what with his four marriages and all. (Also, reporting child abuse is now part of some sinister and violent agenda to get people to stop killing their kids.)

Newsflash for Mr. Marinov: Words such as "slut," which you and your ilk have used to denigrate, shame, and silence women for years now no longer work. It's called 'evolution,' bitch; we're now immune to your use of the term “slut.â€

I've only ever kissed, let alone been close with, one man: My husband. I don't use birth control of any sort. We 'risk' bearing a "defective" child in a way few QFers will ever have to consider.

But if hating child abuse, and expecting insurers to fully cover their customers' health-care makes one a slut, than I'm totally a slut.

(In fact, you know, I've met a lot of prostitutes in my time and frankly I prefer their company to that of most church ladies - back-stabbing old biddies whose "prayer requests" are but thinly veiled gossip.)

The group finds its victims by going to all blogs run by Christian women who believe in (1) Christian homeschooling; and (2) Biblical rules for family life and discipline. Then they spy on the victim, until they find something for which they can send a report to the local Children’s Protection Services in the area.

Oh, look at all the credit we're getting. I don't suppose it has ever occurred to the braniac who wrote the OP that these peoples' neighbors might have turned them in for child abuse. Not everyone falls for the diffusion of responsibility, after all.

When the report is sent – anonymous, of course – the CPS is more than happy to oblige and send the police to “investigate.â€

It's always going to be "anonymous," you nitwit. Even if the complainant gave her full name, address, and SSN. the authorities can't release that information to the persons under investigation.

I don't live in the US, or I would have filled complaints against some of those assholes as well. And then if you and your goon squad wanted my name so badly, all you'd need do is check the website that killed my career (because I openly came out in favor of the Westboro Baptist Church's freedom of speech).

I can understand why others would wish to remain anonymous, however. I mean, who the fuck would want you creeping around in their bushes?

The result is constant harassment against Christian families, by those who hate the Christian family and the Christian faith.

It is amazing how we are able to do everything they think we do. We are behind ALL those hate mails and ill comments and every CPS call. I don't know, maybe it is true in this case but better safe than sorry and no smoke without fire.

But we are their favourite group to blame. This way they don't have to think too hard what they probably are doing wrong or if their neighbours, loved ones or members of their own family have reported to authorities. There has been circulating a video about Malaysian mother beating up her baby. I am not saying that everyone beats up their children that way but I will not stand if someone is bragging about spanking or "discipling" or breaking child's will. Never.

But, it is easier to blame something faceless than look into mirror and think. Think hard.

And yeah, I am slut I have known this because I have been named this when I was teenager. I was being called a slut because I didn't want to share my snack with some bully :D I thought it was hilarious - me, a slut, one who had not even kissed anyone. So, if it only takes to be against child-abuse (and not sharing my snacks), I will proudly declare: I am a slut.

Who cares? For all the talk about child services wantonly taking kids away from their families without cause, I've never once seen that happen in real life. Indeed, in my experience it takes multiple calls and multiple visits, even in the case of *flagrant* abuse and neglect for anything to be done... and as much as possible, what's done is the kid going to another family member. Sure, there are cases where children are wrongfully taken from their families, but I don't think child services has the resources to do this just for the lulz. Dollars to doughnuts, whoever it is still has her kids and the case will be closed shortly even if she *is* wildly abusive.

Also, as a law student, the idiocy of this delights me. If they're going to make up stories, they should check on what is legal and illegal for police and reporting agencies to do first.

It'll be tricky being a slut by the usual definitions as I've only had sex with two men ever and am nearly six years into a dry spell, unless you count Mr. Vibrator, but I'll give it a try. I did at one time get BC from Planned Parenthood, that alone would probably qualify me!
