“Can I make it any clearer? Dads, the second you see that son dropping the limp wrist, you walk over there and crack that wrist. Man up. Give them a good punch. OK? You’re not going to act like that — you were made by God to be a male and you’re going to be a male,†Pastor Harris tells his parishioners in this audio.

I just... gah. There are no words.

WTF? People hold their wrists like that because it is comfortable and it means nothing about their sex life or futur sex life. How homophobic can you get?

LMAO... if limp wrists are all it takes to be an indicator of future sexuality... they partner and I are both screwed. Neither of us are "limp wrists", yet I am a flaming homosexual... and he is a moderate Bisexual.

I will never understand people's idea that you can beat EVERYTHING out of your children. You cannot. Children are who they are. DEAL WITH IT... or don't have kids. Simple as that.

 I'm so appalled I don't even...my skin is crawling after reading that.

"We love everything God has made...unless he made it in a way we don't like. Then we HATE it and will SMACK it!"

:o

Sean Harris is a nutcase. My sister and I used to dress up our little brother, put his hair in pigtails and my sister used to paint his nails sparkly pink and he didn't care. He even put on our leotards. At 15, he's not the least bit gay and he likes his women "thick and blonde" ;)

I also knew a girl who played all kinds of sports, hated dresses and never played dress up or wanted to be "pretty" (what society defines as pretty anyway) and she is not a lesbian at all. She likes her men "tall with a firehead."

Harris can shove it. He doesn't know what he's talking about, plain and simple.

So ridiculous and infuriating words will not form. Soo...

QFT.

This is appalling.

They'd really hate my 2 year old who has a purse, baby doll and likes to wear mommy's barrettes in his hair.....

Seriously, kids that young are just ... kids, they have no concept of gender or sex. They might know at 4 that boy parts are different than girl parts, but they don't know gender "norms" to the extent that these fundies are projecting on them!

Jesus Tapdancing Christ. Yes, let's beat on our homo or suspected-homo kids instead of, I dunno, LOVING THEM or something. Love has no place in a family!

This is heartbreaking.

Oooh, can he hang with my 4 year old? He has a sparkly pink fedora, likes tutus (to play with dinosaurs and such in, he's odd!), plays "house" and "daddy"....but this is also the kid I caught trying to do an ollie on his skateboard in the living room (he's also dislocated his elbow 4 times and thumb twice from rough housing....he's at the far ends of both stereotypes "gay" and "straight").

So I guess lesbians are safe? This idiot is brain damaged.

My brothers favorite TV show when they were little was My Little Ponies and they are both adult, straight males today.

LOL my 100% straight brother in law loves my little ponies, and he's 30. He calls himself a "brony" or something like that...

First and most importantly, when I clicked on the link, one of the ads was for a gay cruise. Irony!

Second- What the hell! At 4 they don't even know what gay is! And if you were to explain it to them (gay is when 2 men or 2 women love each other) they still wouldn't totally understand cause at that age, they don't understand all of the different types of love (love for your family vs love for your friends vs love for your spouse.)

My 4-almost-5 year old has necklaces and wears my shoes and carries my bag around with him and his 'babies' (2 dolls, a boy and a girl). He's a very big hit with the girls in his class, as he's one of the few boys who will play 'house' in the home corner. Sometimes he's Daddy, sometimes, he's the dog, and he loves it. He's also starting football (soccer) classes after school next week, loves all things vehicular, and finds farting hilarious.

As for limp wrists - I'm screwed! I have a connective tissue disorder which makes my joints unstable. I quite literally have limp wrists, and need to wear custom made wrist supports (and splints when I sleep) to stop them from dislocating all the time. How gay am I?! Pixydust - does your son have connective tissue problems? That's some pretty impressive dislocating (I've only done my elbow once and my thumb twice), poor thing!

when people yammer at me about my son's playing with dolls, I look at them very seriously and say "its very healthy. He's just mirroring the behavior patterns his father does with him. He's going to be a GREAT DAD some day"

That usually shuts them up SOOOOO quick.

My dad is a huge fan of The Powerpuff Girls (he used to watch it with me when I was little) and Angry Beavers. Some shows just transcend all barriers, haha.

First off, when I was little my best male friend and I used to love to dress up as princesses. He is straight and currently happily married. This whole "if you let your son be girly he'll be gay" notion is a big ole pile of bull shit. Also, the quarterback of my high school football team was gay.

Anyway, I can't believe someone who is supposedly "G-dly" would advocate blatant abuse.

WFT? Being limp wristed doesn't mean your 4 year old is gay! Maybe there is actually something wrong with the child's writst! I have a friend who has a "limp wrist", but he isn't gay, he has a connective tissue disorder. Oh, BTW fundie parents, hitting a limp-wristed little boy won't prevent him from being gay, but will make him learn to hate you more.

I wear braces or splints on my wrists depending on how they are doing. I guess if I were a guy I'd get punched

Well this topic is certainly bringing all those with connective tissue disorders together.

BENDIES UNITE!
